No, but it can suck a big dick :p

It can get boring fast, but if you learn to be creative with what you can have. It helps.
I don't have any recipes really. I just eat a lot of salad, cottage cheese, veggies, fruits (the safe ones) Things like Whip Cream for sweetness. Protein shakes mixed with fruits, or fairlife milk. I don't drink regular milk at all anymore. But I was never a big milk drinker. Had dairy allergies growing up.
I use stevia for coffee. Truvia brown sugar for things like oatmeal.

I'm not a big meat eater. So I have to try to get in those proteins, which is why I also drink protein shakes.
Eggs. Cheese. Yum.

Water is my hardest thing. I hate water with a passion. I have to work really hard to get enough fluids in for the day.

Sassy! I was being clean
But
It is the Playground
And… dicks are diabetic friendly.. I think

Are big dicks healthier ?

Something that works for me. It helps digestion AND reduces A1C and blood sugar. I've been drinking them for about 4 months now. My A1C lowered from 9.3 to 8.5 and my weight dropped by 5 pounds since my last doctor visit.

Muniq shakes

lol Well. Um. I guess that could be a fun taste test. :D

But your noodles above, are great with Liquid Aminos.. But if you have to watch your Sodium more than normal. Not a great idea. A little goes a long ways with this stuff.

I've seen the advertisements for these. Do you really like them?

Taste-wise, they are "just OK." I get both chocolate and vanilla flavors. I add fruit to each - strawberries to the chocolate and frozen blueberries to the vanilla. I also add about a 1/4 teaspoon of pure dark chocolate baking powder for the chocolate, and some sugar-free peanut butter powder to the vanilla. Throw in a dash of cinnamon to each and they taste pretty OK.

I've wondered since they are pricey. But that is the joy of trying to live healthy. It all is.

They are like tofu. They take on whatever you put with them. Fill pasta need? Yes
Taste great alone? Not so much, olive oil garlic red peppers ? Ok! Aglio Olio!

Take your normal bagel. Slice it twice or three times to enjoy it
Make it last Vs eating two
But! You have to cut back on spread so as not to use the thinner bagel slices as a spread vehicle

Note.. this is NOT carb light
But if you got to do a bagel make it count

I recently found a carb friendly bread that's not bad. And I like the sandwich thins.

But? What is it??

Bread shmead (no I DO love bread!)

But Ice Cream!!

Halo, Rebel and Nick’s

Others? These are like less than 20 carbs for a pint
One other brand to find, but my store stopped carrying it so they could fit lactose free and other varieties.

I have to chime in here. I think that the low carb ice creams have a horrible rubbery texture which ruins the enjoyment for me. Luckily I can get away with having small amounts of the real stuff every once in a while. Also, you could try making your own frozen yogurt with whatever product works for you and making it more interesting by adding fruit or nuts etc.

Fat free greek yogurt, nuts and 1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries is breakfast
1/4 cup of a low low carb granola

I dont have any recipes to add, but I do have diabetes. I'm also insulin resistant (I take 45 units of background twice a day, and 45 units of fast acting, 3 times a day)

Avoid the simple sugars, and monitor your blood sugar constantly, or pay the price with your heart, your kidneys, maybe even your life. Its no laughing matter. Keep you chin up and stay alive :)

I buy the Kroger brand Keto ice cream. There are 9 carbs in the pint. They taste better than any of the others I’ve found.

I began drinking more water and whole fruit based juices.
I chose 3 fruits I liked and kept them on hand.
I chose 3 veggies I liked and kept those on hand, but got them from the local market.
I like to walk, so I grabbed my walking partner, my sister-in-law’s Husky, and set off on my journey.
I was 235-240 lbs 3 years ago. Now I’m in the onesies-190-200 lbs. I’ve lost more, but the scale doesn’t reflect it. My clothes do though.
Jeans bought in the spring fitting snug are now loose and hanging on my hips. Almost a whole dress size smaller.

Nutrition and water consumption are major parts of my transformation. Exercise came into play to relieve stress. Now I take the stairs 2 at a time wherever I go (unless I’m wearing heels). I’m working with 5 lb weights to tone my arms and beginning riding my stationary bike to provide more cardio and tone my thighs. Squats help too. Squeezing my stomach in and releasing is something else I do. Easy stuff to begin with. I’m not in a gym, don’t want to be with the Delta Variant running rampant. I’m doing what I can for free first before I move to a costly decision.

Oooh I am keto/Paleo. Lost about 40 lbs.
I strive for a zero carb intake daily. That's just me.
I also intermittent fast. I'm on one right now. With my fasting buddy. It's better with a friend.
I did two weeks of carnivore diet. That was a good boost.
I used to focus on the scale, but now I focus on my blood. Keeping my ketones up and my bloodsugar down.

I will beat the insulin resistance.

You GO girl!!
Welcome to the thread!!

Thank you! Now if my store would carry it!
Funny the big print says 4 gr carb and the little print says 5gr

That's funny. I hadn't even noticed that.

You don't have Kroger or Fred Meyer? Bummer. I thought they were pretty much every where.

I'd like to reply to this thread, but I am far too negative about my own diabetes to be of any help or be positive about it to others, so I'll probably try and avoid this thread further to avoid bothering anyone.
I could count carbs or diet all I want, and I already have been walking miles for years.
It's not going to change the fact that no doctor out there can fix it, stop it, or do anything more than prescribe higher and higher doses of insulin.
I'm throwing money in a pit to stay alive and I hate it.
Or, to quote the cartoon Adventure Time...

"This magic keeps me alive, but it's making me crazy..."
