The Iranians will ship large numbers from their eastern areas to their western border and drive them into Turkey. They will then make their way to western Europe exactly the same as the Syrian and Yazidi refugees did before them.

A fair number of the Pashtuns in Pakistan may return because the Taliban is largely Pashtun too. Many of the Pashtun refugees will however, remain in Pakistan because there is already a major population of Pakistani Pashtuns. The Pakistan military will give the refugees just enough of any International aid to stay alive, while stealing the rest for themselves.

If the past is anything to go by, the hungry and dis-posessed refugees in Pakistan camps will become easy converts to terrorism. The Wahabi Saudis will send 'Aid' but also extremist/terrorist clerics.

It might be in Western interests to promote conflict between the Iranians( Shia) and the Taliban(Sunni) but in the past the Iranians have been too canny to take the bait.
With respect to the op's silly opening statement, those 9 million refugees will ensure that as always, wars don't just stop when the troops pull out.
