Well, no. They're going to be attacked, though. The United States is a "have" nation--not only that, it's a "has a whole heaping lot" nation. Military protection or not, it's going to be attacked for what it has, as will any people it has in military service. You think it's better that they be attacked while they stand among the American civilian citizenry in Kansas City? I think I mentioned "reality" in my earlier post. The goal is to have them strong and armed well enough that they aren't attacked anywhere--but it/when they have to fight, try to make sure it's on someone else's soil.
