Who was the UK counting on for intelligence in Afghanistan?

It seems our staunchest allies got caught as flat footed as the US did. Did they not have their own means of gathering intelligence over there? Considering their smaller presence I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they were counting on the US for that information. That will all come out eventually, the citizens and on the ground military in the UK are as pissed as ours.

The other item that will come out eventually is the fact that Biden was handed an exit plan by the outgoing Trump administration. The details of that plan haven't come out yet, but that too will be remedied in time. The word on the street is that under that plan the exit was contingent on certain benchmarks that the Taliban had to meet. And that the exit was initiated without regard to those benchmarks. Again, that will eventually all come out.

Even Biden's usual allies in the press are turning on him regarding this debacle. And our allies are having to reevaluate how much they can rely on the US in a pinch. This is going to have severe consequences in the far east. The next few years are gong to be very dangerous.

.
The traitor in chief's administration that blocked President Biden's incoming administration from defense briefings in late December of 2020 had a plan???

Interesting......

Then again, the traitor in chief also had a plan to overturn the 2020 election, so.....

GMAFB

SAD!!!

I’d be hard-pressed to trust any plan that Trump would leave behind. Guy can’t even leave an umbrella behind properly.

You know those magic shops that sell cursed items, and then when you go back nobody can say the shop was ever there? Most of the British intel came from those.

If Trump saved a copy, he can publish it at any time; if not, he can describe it.

No, they aren't. They are noting a couple of issues where the administration just continued Trump's screwups on this.

That's a major problem with you Trumpettes. In addition to all of the lying and hypocrisy to do, everything's got to be all white or all black with you. Biden's "usual allies" are with him in the basics--and also expect this to turn out better with him at the helm than it would be without him--and, god forbid, if that total fuckup Trump was still at the helm. You Trumpettes are trying to make this more than it is. Pound sand on that.

"handed and exit plan" = negotiated a shit date for exit and nothing else.

There was not an exit plan by either administration, obviously.

Whatever intelligence the UK had would have been about Afghans, not the US administration.

The withdrawal plan and its speed, left the UK, and other allies in Afghanistan flat-footed. There was no way the UK and the other US allies, could maintain the fight against the Taliban without the US.

But the rapid takeover was still a surprise to all. It is obvious that the expensively trained and equipped Afghan Arry didn't believe in their government and really supported Islam and Sharia.

But who did believe in the Afghan Government? It seemed ineffective, corrupt, and unpopular and ultimately useless.

It turned out to be no different than the Afghan government while the Soviets were there. There is no Afghan government beyond the city gates of Kabul.....never was.

Karzai left the same way he came.

Uncle Joe got the military out and left the civilians behind.

He's protecting no American interests short of the
agenda of the hard Left to whom those lives
are nothing more than collateral damage.

This is what happens when your advisors are more concerned about the optics
for the next election than they are about the security of the nation and the people.

Of course, President Biden's handlers fully believe that we will be safer
with the Taliban sated and back in the saddle. Why would they hate us now?
I guess that one would have to understand why they hated us before and subsequently
murdered over 3,000 people in cold blood. But we can trust them now.
They are as predictable as his supporters on the Left
(who also will never be placated).

As far as his crew are concerned the real enemies are the citizens that oppose his agenda. I think they've made that patently clear.

My favorite quote from Walt Kelly's Pogo:

We have met the enemy and he is us!

Pogo must have been a new-age Socialist.

He did describe it. Said it would have been a conditions based withdrawal.

You are speaking to dems that ignored the fact Trump/Pompeo attempted to negotiate with the Taliban. They did not negotiate. So Trump/Pompeo made a plan to pull out.

Move Americans to safety.

Remove or destroy all weapons of war.

Destroy all the forts.

Leave Afghanistan.

The dems complaining about you Trump/Pompeo are trying to cover up for Biden.

He left Afghanistan.

Abandon all forts.

Left behind all of our weapons technology for Russian and Chinese research.

Abandoned all Americans and Patriots.

It seems that God old A_J is forgetting that his beloved Trump is the one who negotiated the US withdrawal. Therefore, it was Trump who thought the US would be safer with the Taliban in control.

How conveniently you forget facts so you can continue to use your pretzel logic to blame liberals for everything.

20 years of war with trillions depleted from the treasury and buckets of American blood spilt - but the blame goes to the guy who has been in office for 200 days?

What-the-fuck-ever.

I continue to congratulate Biden and this administration for getting out of the endless war that another Republican Big lie got us into in the first place.

Any person with a soul is empathetic to the Afghan people who want to get out.
Any person observing rapid advance of the Taliban who themselves were shocked that the government forces just laid down their arms can only conclude that this conclusion was inevitable.

Any person claiming "The next few years are gong to be very dangerous." is fearmongering in the worst way akin to a preacher telling you to put some money in the plate to save your soul.

Trump was interviewed by Hannity last night and the President backed up the existence of an exit plan that Joe Biden and his people rejected, just as they rejected all of his other policies. Gina Haspel, the former CIA Chief under Trump, was so pissed off at Joe Biden's lies, she threatened to call a press conference to dispel those lies in detail.

Lol, yeah Trump had a plan. Just like his Healthcare plan? Just like his infrastructure plan?

How you morons continue to believe the biggest liar in American history is hysterical.

Also, trump negotiated with the taliban and not the Afghan government. Trump paved the way for an easy transition of government for the taliban but refused to do it in the country he claims to love.
Trumptards are really stupid.

^^^
As usual, a truckload of crap from Zip.

Trump explained his exit plan to Hannity last night and his blunt conversations with the Taliban leader. The plan which involved removing civilians first then the military, was rejected by Joe who always knows better on foreign policy than anyone else. The reason why he's never been right about foreign policy in his lifetime.
