The Kennedys: JFK is the closest anyone comes, probably because of the tragic end he came to and the hope he represented. But we don't speak of him in hushed tones and credit him with things that were the exact opposite of what he really did, like you guys do with Reagan. The other Kennedys? The most recent of the bunch lost a Senate primary in Massachusetts - certainly no worship there.

FDR: He was one of our best presidents, but he did allow the internment of Japanese Americans in WWII and he didn't do much of anything on civil rights at what was probably the first time since the Civil War that the political capital existed to do it. So again, it ain't like the way you guys talk about Saint Ronnie.

Hillary Clinton: Most progressives don't even like either Clinton very much. It's just that the alternative was so much worse, as the whole world now knows. Feel free to show me an example or two of hero worship of her on our part.

Elijah Cummings: He died recently, and saying nice things about the recently-departed is what people do. No one ever credited him with saving the world.

John Lewis: The man was a genuine American hero whether you like his politics or not, and see what I said about Cummings above. Unlike you guys with Reagan, we admire him for things he actually did do. Really not the same as the kind of hero worship I'm talking about, and which you baselessly accused us of doing with Biden.
