Moochie’s Mementos (and a pic or two)

The problem with having an escape
Comes when you realize you could take it.
You could say “Fuck you!” to the world,
Stick both middle fingers up,
And get out.

But the thing is, though, that you don’t
At least not immediately.

Even with the button
Huge
Red
Blaring in front of you,
You’ve run out of the energy or the means or the will to push it
Hoping the knowledge of it’s existence
Is just swept into a corner less frequented

But instead,
It sits there.
Taunting you.
Reminding you in it’s little ways daily
That it’s there.
Ready.
Wanting to be pressed.
Begging for it.

So each day, when you gather the energy,
You stand in front of it
A list of pros and cons in your hand,
And you make the conscious decision.

I, along with some of the other amazing poets on lit, just completed (or will be completing today) a challenge to post 30 poems in 30 days. This isn’t my first time doing such a challenge, but it is the first doing it with so many others who also write some amazing things.

You should go have a look HERE if you’re curious. I should say that there is a separate commentary thread if you wish to make an observation or give a compliment to any of the poems you read.

Simply beautiful!!

I went up North last night. The girls came and kidnapped me and took me to a Brewery and Ice Cream. It was so pretty up there. Way more sun then here. :( Mallards was amazing. Cute little town too. I haven't been there in ages. I was thinking of you, but I didn't know where we were going until we were on the road.

Sounds like a great time, Sassy! I’m glad you got out with the sun :). What flavor ice cream did you get? When I get out there, I like to get their indecision scoop and do two flavours like basil and lemon.

Nurse’s week

Three, two, one
Run down the flights
Lives wait at the bottom
Push the bed, pole, vent
Take the elevator
One, two, three
Push again, but faster
Halls echoing with upset monitors
Deep breaths
Opening doors
Opening abdomens, chests
Find the problem and fix it
Ligate the vessels
Remove the ruptured bowels
Fix the broken bones
Take care of them
Tell them it’s okay to cry
Tell them ‘no’ when it will save their life
Tell them you have them
Tell them to fight
Even when they might not hear you
Hold their hand
Keep them warm
Keep them safe
Keep them alive
Every day
Every night
From behind a mask, a respirator, and a face shield
You do your job

My orgasm
Is a train ride,
Starting slowly,
Building as it rolls
Flying down the track
On fingertips
Over a cliff

My orgasm
Is a fire,
Bursting into life
Deep within,
Burning so hot
As a hand
Fan the flames

My orgasm
Is the breath
On my neck,
A growing distraction,
Telling me
Feeling me
Finding me

My orgasm
Is a piece of me
Searching for that connection
That keeps coming,
Entangling itself
In the puzzle
Of movement
Of memories

That picture actually made me shudder. And it is a talented poet who can share her orgasm so freely. Thank you.

You do your job

YES, YOU AND OTHERS DO. As one that has need help and care.
I ,THANK YOU

I have seen the look in the eyes when there is little hope and when there is a smile you have brought me back to life.

old both fred hoping to see the smile behind the mask again

Your last two posts gave me a moist eye and a big smile. Life’s ups and downs. The stress and agony of the day job, or in your case, night job, and then the much needed relief.

Thank you for sharing these opposites in your day.

Writing and picture are so erotic, so evocative! :rose::rose::rose:

Sorry, haven't been around much, noticed your new thread, yet to browse through your musings :)

Always a pleasure to read your musings, look at you, nothing short of art.

Keeping it up through these challenging times,
I do appreciate it.
Will come back soon and maybe add some lines of my own
