Is the gun issue really about male insecurity?

Americans and their guns.

A very special relationship.

Almost always, it’s an american man pulling the trigger.

Is it size related?

Karens?

Job losses to Mexican auto plants?

It's all about bra size. The sudden, and unprecedented, increase in first time female firearm purchaser's has been unbelievable. I work at a range as a Range Safety Officer and whereas the CCW classes used to be almost exclusively male in make up they are now damn near 50% female in make up. The increase in women participating in the shooting sports has also been unprecedented.

Well you don't see women committing the overwhelming vast majority of mass shootings.

One of the big problem are the anti-gun folks. Back in the day you could take a gun to school and go hunting after.. They do not teach gun safety to youth like they use to so the young ones have no respect for them.

This is because the youth of today will spend their lives wearing pajamas instead of a uniform.

There are places in the world where the only real defense one has is to defend oneself with a gun. Not many, but there are places like that.

In contrast, there are many many places where one doesn't need a gun to defend themselves very often.

Strange that those gun free places seem to think that their way of life is how it is everywhere when it's not.

It's called being blind to the reality that places like the US are the buffer zones for places like Canada. Or not knowing (acknowledging) that Israel is surrounded by enemies determined to wipe that nation, and every single one of it's people, AND it's faith, from the face of the earth forever.

One need only look at Mexico to see that preventing the citizens from owning firearms merely means that the criminals can do whatever they want with impunity.

A fact which should allow you to easily explain how it is that not allowing people to have guns made Mexico safer and eliminated mass shootings.

Or perhaps it's not the guns that are the problem. A fact you cannot see no matter how many times it is pointed out to you.

Exactly.

They all say "guns aren't the problem"...and they may be right.

It's obviously the American Penis.

You do realize that the mere fact that you view this issue through this lens says more about your male insecurity, right?
I've never met a gun owner, of either sex, who has had issues with security about their identity.

They're out there.

The talking point about how "white American men need a penis substitute" isn't really an opening to discuss the idea about guns and freedom. It's a deceitful gambit used to smear and embarrass law abiding people for no other reason than they can spew the hate-filled words and someone will respond trying to defend against the false flag attack.

Hey, I'm just asking the question to stimulate discussion.

American men here constantly say "guns don't kill people".

But guns do need a person to pull the trigger.

And in the USA, the overwhelming majority of shootings are by American men.

So, it's reasonable to ask...

What causes American men to buy guns and kill in such high numbers compared to all other industrialized nations?

America is more sexually repressed than other industrialized countries...perhaps there's a connection?

Discuss....or call people names, your choice.

It's only embarrassing to the person who brought it up. It certainly wouldn't embarrass the gun owners I know. They actually feel sorry (pity) the person who views it as such.

You're not asking to "stimulate discussion", you're merely throwing BS against the wall.

How do I know this? By the way you phrased your question.

I don't pity fools who insist on being fools because pitying them means I have to think about them in the first place.

I know you don't like Facts...but here's a couple for you:

1. 51% of american men own at least 1 gun, compared to 19% of women.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/623453/gun-ownership-in-the-us-by-gender/

2. Americans are 10 times more likely to be killed by guns than people in other developed countries

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-u-s-gun-deaths-compare-to-other-countries/

American men kill people with guns at a staggering rate...why?

Some possibles for discussion, based on the way American men here post:

  • do american men have high levels of mental illness?
  • are American men damaged by American feminism?
  • are American men inherently more fearful than men from other countries?
  • do American men suffer from insecurity due to its fading global status?
  • are American men suffering from Low T and micro-penis issues?

So Canada is surrounded by oceans on three sides, and the US to the southern border.

How exactly is the US being a buffer for Canada????

That ranks right up there in the top ten stupidest comments from you...

freudian theory is almost universally discredited in 2021. it's not about penis, it's about crazy.

I always just half-jokingly answer the question of "why do American's kill so many people with guns" with "Maybe we're just a lot better at it?"

Like mass shootings?

That’s mostly an issue of 50 sq miles of Colorado.

I blame the altitude and South Park. And White dudes.
