Bloody Dartford Crossing system!

For the last year, the Govt advice has been to stay local and don't travel.

But the Dartford Crossing system has cancelled ALL accounts where the user hasn't crossed during the last year, and grabbed millions of pounds.

I had an email this morning to say my account was closed unless I did something NOW.

Although I have taken two cars off, and added a different car in 2021, that doesn't count.

I reactivated the account with an existing credit of £25+ that would have been lost if I hadn't acted.

Bloody rip-off merchants!

If that happened in the states I'm pretty sure they would have their pants sued off by everyone who lost money. Here that would be called theft.

When Congestion Charging was first introduced in central London, our house was just a few metres inside the boundary and so, having no need to cross the boundary, I could drive around central London FOC. But if I wanted to leave central London - thus, in a small way, reducing congestion - I had to pay! I entered into correspondence, but to no avail.
