why the fuck not? if people treat me like shit in my personal life, i make a point of not being around them. if someone is an idiot, i don't go out of my way to spend time with them. i certainly don't seek out people who are ideologically opposed to what i think, just so i can listen to them rant and rave. is this some new internet pc bullshit? if i hate you, you're going to stay hated.

At least the "progressives" are starting to be honest about their hate......dropping all that "DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIVE!!" bullshit they were lying about for the last few years.

Now it's "conform of get cancelled" ....I know honesty is a problem for leftist but holy shit what took you guys so fuckin' long ??:D

I have ZERO Republican friends. Zero. It is one of the first questions asked.

"Cancel Culture" is the latest RWCJ focus group slogan attempt to try to convince Americans that "Freedom of Speech" implies "Freedom from Criticism".

Yes, my sentiments exactly.

Rob attempts ascription because he's just not honest enough to say "I hate you for being a strong outspoken women that I disagree with." like most progressives, forever a chicken shit.

Your not describing cancel culture here....this is just your personal preference for what you want in relationships with other people.

Jan 05, 2021 · Cancel culture is the phenomenon or practice where unaccountable people publicly reject, boycott, or advocate ending support for an individual, group, or brand because of the latter’s association with socially unacceptable behavior. It has been practiced for decades in this country by both the conservatives and liberals.

Yep, the definition is good.

You don't have it say between you and your neighbor or you and a coworker.

It's when you and a large group of like minded folks sign onto the same canceling of an individual or entity.

Don't ask how many individuals it takes as I really don't know.

It is essentially a pile on.

But, I'm with you...I don't like cancel culture at all especially in cases where the individual targeted doesn't deserve it.

.
Cancel culture or fire culture???

In the most recent example involving Gina Carano, an employee tarnished the Disney brand by making numerous comments that garnered negative publicity for the company, resulting in her/zir/beep/bop/boop termination.

Too bad so sad.

So why didn't they fire the leftist who said similar and even more egregious comments??

Because it's not about garnering negative publicity...it's about having the wrong opinion.

I don't like it when it goes to far and gets unreasonable. If people are in fact blatantly spouting off egregious, hatefully ignorant views then of course, that's a different story- there are some people who SHOULD be cancelled. Key words here being HATEFULLY ignorant, or simply hateful.

But if you have a guy who had a friend who knew a nazi sympathiser once when he was a kid, and another guy who used to root for the Washington Redskins (and once in a while slips up and calls the team that) then no- you want to cancel culture people like that, then that is going too far.
