Oh the irony. Go to the first post in the "pandemic" thread and re-read the article. Warm and dry is the enemy of the Wuhan Flu virus so given that little factoid it's intuitively obvious that "global warming" is to be encouraged. :D
 
One thing has struck me this morning,
the same idiots who supported the political board
are fucking ignoring it in order to placate their need to hate Trump.
There seems to be no possible topic that does not justify taking a shot at Trump.

I think 80% of Democrats are mental morons who never got past their adolescent phase.
 
But, at least it is clear and the sun is rising.
The morning local weather called for mainly cloudy,
but we can really use a little sun on the ice. If this keeps up,
I might not even have to use the ice melt which isn't all that good for the concrete.

I get a kick out of it, it demonstrates how shallow they and their lives are.

The 'lectricity went out for awhile. I actually called it in, and they said it was an area-wide outage. I felt less special or oppressed afterward. It came back on about half an hour ago.

Good Morning!
Woke up to a little bit of snow this morning. Just enough to make everything look pretty.
I discovered I should have bought dog food when I was in town yesterday, so I went to the feed store this morning when they opened.

Oh, and the cookies I baked last night are yummy
 
Welding is something I need to relearn/practice. I've done it before (poorly mostly). Got to be fairly decent wire welding (MIG) light steel. I need to learn and practice stick welding and MIG on heavier stock.
 
Took a welding course once. I dropped it halfway through. The "instructor" kept saying that the process should "sound like bacon fryin'."


My guess is, he cooked his bacon too fast and his was a shitty analogy.


Besides, it doesn't sound like bacon frying anyway . . . .

Car and bike guys often weld. Another tool in the box. I keep a roll of inner shield in the 110v MIG for patches and small jobs. The nascar stickers let you know it is a kickass welding machine.

The weather is looking cooperative today, which is good, because it's also Road Trip Monday. The car has fresh oil, checked fluids, and a full tank. Just a matter of loading it.

I remember watching an old guy who was all excited about a '41 Caddy until he discovers that the A pillars were rusted out at the floor. He didn't know what to do about it. Not sure if that killed his drive or whether it was the broken-off head bolt. Likely the bot' uv 'em.


I have a grinder collection these daze for cutting.


I really should buy a rural chink of dirt and build a barn on it . . . .

My first welding instructor repaired bullet holes in aluminum Air Force planes with a torch. Great for heating and cutting. Not so great for patching 41 Caddies.


Remember, a bad welder makes a good grinder.
