We're all woke now.

Some of us are woke to Social Justice and how we have to attack those who
thing things such as all lives matter, being conservative white is not a crime
and peaceful protests do not result in shattered windows, burning buildings
and attacks on law enforcement and the livelihoods of our fellow citizens.

The rest of us are woke to the fact that if we exercise our right to free speech
that we are going to get the big Alinsky; isolate, ridicule and then you cancel.
You call the employer. You call the school. You get them fired. You rescind the diploma.

Those who stormed the Capitol were far more guilty of an attack on democracy than any other violent protesters. They should be prosecuted, Those who rioted at BLM events already have been. Why not Trunmpists?

Okay. As to the latter, they are being rounded up and will be tried and appropriately so.

Meanwhile in the NW, and it's in the news THIS FREAKING MORNING, that law enforcement
in the NW Progressive cities is at its wit's end because no one was punished for any of the riots,
so don't hand me a load of excrement about how "those" people were properly prosecuted and punished.

There is still time. If they are worried, here in the UK we are still arresting and trying people involved in grooming gangs a decade after the offences were committed - and sending people to jail.

If the video evidence exists - people can be identified long after the event. It is a failure of the law enforcement agencies that can be corrected.

That would be wrong, and anyone who believed that would have to be ignorant of what happened. 69 people were arrested for trying to overthrow the government in DC this month as opposed to 570 from just one incident in Minneapolis over the summer.

Spidey...

When did Minneapolis move to the NW?

AJ, you missed the point, or more likely don't want to acknowledge the point.
People tried to overthrow the government and only 69 people were arrested. And it's not like 69 people were arrested on the spot in DC they were allowed to invade the Capitol and then leave.
Why were so many more people arrested over the summer?

I'm not AJ and you cannot read for shit.

AJ, you must be pretty embarrassed if all you can do is sling insults instead of contributing to the conversation.

There were 45 people arrested in Seattle in just one incident and none of them tried to overthrow our government.
Why were so many more people punished for what happened in the summer than for trying to overthrow our government?

Self employment is the best vaccine against cancel culture....It's fucking amazing :D

And like a good comrade, oggbashan is there!!! Shilling for the Marxist terrorist....like always.

Maybe it has to do with the scale and the intensity of the violence??

OHHH don't consider that, it would be racist!!!

Why were so many more people arrested over the summer?

You have great partisan blinders on if you really need to ask that question.

The OP expresses a world of hurt from the "cancel culture". Like ProudBoBo, he needs to silently collect the benefits of the welfare state while acting like he is totally independent.

Problem solved. Next whiny thread...

Two ad hominem attacks in under two minutes...

This is what I was talking about and why I posted the quote.

Michael Ellis, who last served as the former senior director for intelligence on the National Security Council during the Trump administration, was put on administrative leave from his new position as the general counsel at the National Security Agency, just hours after President Joe Biden was inaugurated.

Ellis — a Navy Reserve intelligence officer, Yale Law School graduate, and Jeopardy! winner — had first applied for the position in January 2020, and went through an extensive months-long vetting process conducted by a panel of non-partisan civil servants, according to the two former officials.

...

But those who know Ellis well say he is highly-qualified for the position and Democrats are attempting to purge him purely for political reasons, despite their calls for “unity” and their numerous accusations against the Trump administration of political purges and loyalty tests of civil servants.

One of the two former officials said:

Michael is an outstanding guy and he’s known for being a straight shooter. My understanding is that the [hiring] process worked the way it was supposed to, that this process has been ongoing since early 2020, and Michael interviewed with a panel of career lawyers who found that he was completely qualified for the job.

Woke Cancel Culture

Yes, especially when a right-winger is simultaneously sucking on the teat of the Federal gummint, amirite? :D

How am I sucking on the teat of the federal gummint??

And despite the 40k a year tax break? I'm still a tax payer ;)

There you go conflating employment/earned benefits with welfare....a sad false equivalency attempt, especially considering you've failed with it so many times before.

And if giving it up meant putting you totalitarian control freaks in check? Take it....a truly small price to pay for the liberty to go make considerably more and keep it. :D
