New study: Lockdowns didn’t stop the spread of COVID-19 after all.

You attacked DeSantis for opening up

You lauded Cuome for closing up

SHAME ON YOU ALL

Many of the states, mine included, shuttered some businesses while people still allowing people to congregate around the produce section of Wal Mart selecting their Peppers and Tomatoes before corralling into self-checkout.

Bars and restaurants were handcuffed in such a way that did little more than cripple the locally owned businesses while forcing gatherings underground.

Short of declaring martial law, a lock down won't work - at least not in the USA.

It was POLITICAL to hurt Trump

As a libertarian, I think (key word in this statement) that to think it was just about hurting Trump is thinking too small.

The COVID situation provided an opportunity for a great and hard reset. A way to solve so many other "problems" while distracting via an invisible enemy.

Pensions, social security, healthcare, social equality, etc, etc, etc... Solving some serious issues while creating other serious problems.

Trump was always going to be the a transitional explosion of sorts. COVID presented an efficient trigger and the lock down, masking, and other "stuff" simply amplified and fast forwarded all of this.

My point is that I think hurting Trump politically was a bonus rather than a mission.

It was POLITICAL to hurt Trump

And the ones in Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Russia, Egypt, Israel and every other country, they were to hurt Trump too, were they?

No lockdowns didn't work...because covid deniers gonna deny like you did from the very start.

Hello denier and racist and fascist.

Not hiding in your house (except to riot for BLM of course) doesn't make anyone a denier will.

Words mean things, learn English before trying to use it. :)

Oh, you got me...

...with the sticks and stones defense.

🤭🤭🤭

Yea...you're misusing words, hyperbolically as ever.

99.999% didn't deny the virus, they rejected the authoritarian lefts response to it.

...and results in killing more people than in any other Country in the world.

....that resulted.in an ongoing mortality, the leading cause of death in the USA with no end in sight.

....that has just about killed more folks than in WW11.

...what a cause to be proud of!!!

Liberty!!!!!!!🤦🤦🤦

Also, you may want to look at Influenza infection numbers for base comparison (hint: it's way down).

and it didnt work there either, did it?

and yet Trump said OPEN UP and he was right

Nope...this is incorrect. We have the highest death rate in the world for covid.

Some places did extrodinarily well and have zero covid case or very very few.

In every case where they did extremely well(Singapore, New Zealand and others) they had hard lockdowns with very steep penalties for violations of it

Lockdowns are the only factual data point that show to work for covid.

Had the US done a very hard lockdown the covid numbers would have been dramatically less here in the USA and maybe even possible.to have no cases. These lockdowns are short term....a month to 1.5 minths...the economic costs would have been significantly less costly for these short period events even if the Feds had to pay folks who were unable to work.

it would have been short term payments...not this year long mess of partial this and that...with no significant eradicatation of the virus...and millions temporary to permanently unemployed and a major losses to small businesses..

Hi from New Zealand! 0 cases in the community, one of the lowest proportional death rates in the world, a well functioning economy ... all because we went into a (proper) lockdown early, and closed the borders (properly). You can bang on about 'mah freedom' all you want, but everyone here is now free to not contract, and maybe die from, a really shitty disease. Oh, and the leader who instituted the 'draconian' lockdown way back in March last year won a recent election by a landslide. So I guess we were OK with having our 'freedom' compromised in the interests of not dying and having a functioning economy.

Which is SUPER easy as a puissant low population island in the pacific and a population that's sane enough not to call travel bans racist just because #NOTMYPRESIDENT!!! LOL

Taiwan did exceedingly well too.

You did well and will always do well with this kind of situation because of your geography....not because your shit doesn't stink.

Way to totally miss the actual point.

Maybe if you occasionally actually made a point it wouldn't be so easy to miss.

Good grief. I know words are hard, but do try. Here, I'll say it more clearly for you: Lockdowns DO stop the spread of Covid. That's why we don't have any here.

I believe Arizona is still #1 in the world for new COVID-19 cases per capita?

That’s where the plague rat, que lives, yes?
