"Amen" simply means "truly" or "so be it" at the end of a prayer, it is not a gendered term, but Dems have opened congress with a prayer and ended it by saying "amen and awoman".

Do you have a link for that infomation?

Words fail me, talk about excruciatingly embarrassing cringe.

If that is true it is not only evidence that Dems are "A-holes" but who did they get to say that "prayer"? Most of the hired religious fakes that they use for opening prayers are also "A-holes" and I don't mean holy.

The level of stupidity is just horrific.

It definitely sounds like something you and the other Deplorables should be distracted with.

Like, focus ALL of your attention on. Thanks! ;)

When no cite is provided, it almost always means the source is so useless even the nutjobs here can see it's a fake. And we're talking about people who routinely cite Breitbart.

Sure enough...while the OP refers to Dems in the plural, it was one member, Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver, and it was a joke.

Cleaver, by the way, is a pastor in the United Methodist Church.

I think it was a silly thing to do, although praying in Congress is pretty contrary to being a secular state (despite the "one nation under God" addition). This isn't a case of Democrats getting together and collectively deciding to do this, though, which makes this thread beyond silly as well and exhibits how stupid and desperate for "points" the board Trumpettes are.

I hate to say it, but we are a Christian nation with a more-or-less secular Constitution which while it does not establish a state religion, allows for religious freedom and that has traditionally dominated our politics and government; look at your money, look at the prayers in Congress, look at your founding documents - they are all based on the Christian God.
