Sooo, I have been wanting to start this thread for some time. And then today, after watching this amazing classic, I am thinking this might be the perfect way to start.

Not exactly words of a Stoic, but they are a critically important message for so many reasons.

For everyone struggling. You could never know just how much you have impacted those around you. Loved ones. Friends. Co-workers. Maybe it was nothing more than a smile for someone who needed one. Maybe it was you being there for someone who had lost all hope. And for all you have done, known and unknown, imagine those you might touch tomorrow. Or next year. Or five years from now. You have a gift. A precious gift. One that others need. And don't be afraid to reach out if YOU need someone. You may not feel it, but there is love and support all around you.

And for those that have been there for me, a heartfelt thank you. For all the love and blessings you have given me.

While I would never profess to know what a woman wants , I have learned 'a few things' along my journey. ;) First and foremost is that one must first listen and then find true interest in her. How few have learned these simple rules. And how wonderful for those men that have. For they have found a great treasure and bounty beyond the imagination of most.

At least I know I have. ;)

I was sad because I had no shoes,
Until I saw a man who had no feet

This is certainly true with me. I love that have spent my whole life in wonder of the unknown. Always learning, always exploring, always looking deeper to see a little more. My life has been so blessed with with all the things I have discovered. #nods

Love this! And I love Epictetus!

A snarky retort but one that highlights the just how little his distractors knew about him. To suggest how little they know, is to call into question the critique they have. #wellplayed

Fortuna vitrea est: tum cum splendet frangitu.

Fortune is like glass: the brighter the glitter, the more easily broken.
- Publilius Syrus
