Trump's frequent rallies seem to be very important to him, whatever the cost.


The rallies have been racking up quite an expense for American taxpayers and local governments. A simple search of 'cost of Trump rallies' brings up dozens of articles.

The spread of the coronavirus has been linked his maskless events too. Search 'coronavirus spread at trump rallies' for hours of reading material from a variety of sources.


Once he is out of office he will no longer be traveling on the taxpayer dime, but the secret service and local law enforcement will still be required for his protection as a former POTUS. Will local authorities be able to deny permits for his events of he doesn't pay for the costs or observe social distancing?

Trump may try to capitalize on them by selling tickets or soliciting sponsors. How much will fans pay? Will he fill stadiums? Will he fill The Four Seasons?

They are usually morbidly obese and you know they have chronic health issues, not exactly the fittest people on Earth, great candidates for CoVid-19 mortalities. The problem he is going to have is that all of his rallies have been paid for by the campaign or the taxpayers. The venue, the security, the insurance... everything. Trump will not be able to hold rallies as a business venture because the average person is not going to go spend $100 to see him. The best he can hope for is to be a paid speaker.

He's going to declare as a candidate for 2024, beginning immediately. The rallies, if he can get venues, can be covered by campaign money (at least campaign money he isn't syphoning off to his own pockets).

That makes a lot of sense and it seems more than just likely. If this is the case, Trumpism is going to become more of a cult than it already is. There's been some whacked out fiction that isn't as strange as this.

At this point the other Republican candidates haven't gotten past the horror of Trump declaring for 2024. Still, it's hard to run a campaign from prison, but I bet the Trumpettes would support that without batting an eye.

The investigations in the Southern District of New York are going to damage him once he's no longer President. I'm thinking that Trump will lose most of the GOP but will continue to have his strongest fringe supporters, effectively splitting the Republican vote. But then again, the degree to which the GOP has been willing to sell out their integrity for a win never ceases to amaze me..
