Story Series Rejected after 5 years

Post removed after I quoted it, so I've removed the quote and my reply.

Exchange resolved OBE.

Although I hate having my stories rejected, I am comforted by that fact that stories ARE rejected.

In all my time reading stories here I have only bumped into one disturbing one that was clearly about the drugging and rape of a child. I reported it.

The system must work because that's the only time I've had to encounter anything like that.

Ok, my last story that was removed is back up in its edited form. May Literotica go forward in glory forever.

If anybody answers that, posts are likely to disappear or the thread could be closed. The site doesn't allow promotion of competitor sites.

That is understandable - if you go to a store and ask for a product they have, they will tell you where to find it and won't mention that the competition has it on sale for cheaper. However, if you ask for something they don't sell, they will usually be happy to direct you to a place that does. It would be nice if this site would do the same.

None of the "objectionable content" in my stories really was. But it also wasn't material to the story so I simply applied a minor rewrite to the Haloween story that was pulled because a woman wore a dog costume to a party and was referred to as being a dog by the other characters. It was easier than arguing a point that in a fair hearing I would win. She became a pirate, but it's just silly, and if you leave the site and someone objects to your writing in the future I suppose the content is just gone.

I think it might be context or something. I haven't had a rejected story in a long time, but the last few were, she had thought characters were underage... and amusingly they were all college stories, I write a lot of those for some reason. It could be anything that might come off as a red flag by mistake. Using my example; mentioning a character is a Sophmore doesn't really allude to college, since America high schools and colleges use the same Freshman-Sophmore-Junior-Senior to denote grade position. As far as your story; she might have taken it that the character was an actual dog and something said; "this is beastiality, time to reject." Nobody knows the process she does to go through the miriad of story submissions. She runs this shit by herself... and whatever Manu does. I'm actually always a bit surprised when she responds to a thread as busy as she is, making me wonder where her 12k post count actually comes from.

As far as the other shit; it's not like there's a statute of limitations on reporting. I don't read much here, I've never been much of a reportfag, if I see something that looks like real underage shit, I might... I otherwise could care less. The shit got published, it was good enough to leave alone. I usually say illegal is just a sick bird. Besides; who knows how many edits it took before Laurel gave it the okay, just for some fool to report it because it "went to far", just like some of these other users who bitch about certain genres existing here, like they know what's best. "If I wAs OwNeR Of LiT, I'd BaN ThiS aNd ThAt BeCaUsE I tHiNK ItS WrOnG, I Am SaVInG YoU FrOm YoUr SelF. I'Ll DeCiDe WhAt YoU'Re SupPoSeD To LiKe aND WrItE AboUt. Blah, Blah, Vitriol vomit." Then there would be about six sections, we might finally get a bisexual section, but like only six sections, people will bow out, stuff will be deleted, next thing you know the site will be another redirect page for Adult Friend Finder, Fuckbook, or "This game has caused so many people to jack off."

I think Emirus misread the analogy.

I have a recent smoking fetish story that went down well, with a sequel in the works. It's definitely a thing ;).

Probably. So many of my characters smoke, it might be a disservice I haven't done a smoking fetish story, or at least somebody getting oral while smoking.

Absolutely correct EB! I did misread the smoking analogy and I do have an appointment with my optician for tomorrow. Actually, that is true but in my defence, as I desperately try to find some reasonable sounding reason and failing, the appointment was made before I made the comment. Perhaps I had a premonition.

5 stars to Laurel for so quickly confirming smoking is allowed in stories.

I still won’t have any of my characters smoking, although it’s not been a conscious decision. I’m trying to think if I had Alexis Colby (Joan Collins) smoke. I do remember reading, and this is going back to the 1980’s when smoking in films was looked on very differently, she was the only character allowed to smoke in Dynasty because she was such a bad bitch.
