It's his job not to panic people...admittedly he is not very good at it but you will get the same attempt from ANY President.

Six months in quarantine and we know a lot more about the virus than we did back in February.

First and foremost, it doesn't live on surfaces very long at all.
The flip side is that Corona-19 is a very rare virus, one that can be aerosolized. Very few viruses can be aerosolized (hang in the mist of exhaled air), chickenpox and measles are the two big ones. Covid-19 is contagious but not as "hearty" as the big boys. It's especially susceptible to localized heat (campfires and space heaters).

The most interesting thing about the research is how effective masks are at preventing transmission. In a nutshell, virtually every claim made by "Doctor" Coronager is absolutely false. Wearing a mask prevents droplet transmission, which has been found to be the number two cause of transmission (social distancing....being within six feet of someone, is number one).

South Korean researchers did some contact tracing of a particularly bad outbreak of Covid at a suburban Seoul Starbucks. A woman with a particularly bad case of covid symptoms somehow managed to infect every single customer in the restaurant...the customers had their masks off, presumably to drink their overpriced coffee. The entire restaurant staff, however, did NOT contract Covid, since all of them were masked for the duration of their job shift.

Actually what he said was ALL bullshit. He played it down to keep the stock market from panicking. It worked, two hundred thousand deaths later and the stock market is doing fine.
