How to save my PMs conveniently?

Has anyone found a simple, easy way to save their Lit PMs? I know that we're only allowed to have up to 150 in our inbox and I've just been having to delete them as I go, but it seems a shame to have to do that, as I've gotten some interesting conversations that I'd love to save.

I suppose I could go through all my conversations and save them in a spreadsheet, or Word document or something similar, but if someone has found a really excellent method for saving their PMs, I'd love to hear how you manage it.

Open up your Private Messages page, scroll to the bottom and you will see

Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text

You may have to do this for both inbox and outbox

I was able to download them as a CSV, and then save them as an Excel spreadsheet. Now that I have them saved in a spreadsheet, I can delete them from my Inbox. It worked amazingly well. So grateful for NightL's advice.

As your total of posts rises, your inbox will become (if I recall) 250, 500 and ultimately 750.
