Hi, I used to be on here all the time. Many of the people I used to know are gone. Would like to make some new friends. Just think of this as a place to come and hang out and talk. Post about anything your want to talk about.

As a way of introduction - I was in my 40s when I joined Lit back in the early 2000s. I am now 65. I am a musician and was in radio for many years and do voice work today. Love to talk about music, movies, books, sex... anything....

So, pull up a chair, tell me about yourself and let's see if this can be the beginning of a beautiful friendship (Stolen from Casa Blanca) https://www.timberhavenloghomes.com/blog/outdoor-entertainment-areas/

Boy posting pictures in here used to be much easier to do. I had a picture of Log cabin with a bunch of chairs on a deck but it will not let me post it.

So with all this shutting down and not being able to work or other things... what have you all been up too? I have my own studio I work out of so it is no biggie as I do not come in contact with people. But how are the rest of you handling it?

You're back you're back you're back you're back!!!!
Whee!

*drags in my big squishy armchair and fits it in the bay window.*

Yes another dear old friend... and looking sexy as ever! Love the AV!

I have worked through the lockdown. My work changed because I'm a nurse and lots was canceled at first. But I still went to work as usual. Getting groceries and other things changed a lot, but because of my work, I was never home for weeks without being in contact with other human beings. It was a biig perk.

First of all... thank you for all that you did as a nurse. I have friends in the medical field and I know how hard it has been on them with all of this mess. Yes I have my own studio... so I kept working doing voice work. And yes shopping has been interesting... but we are pretty much back to normal... or semi normal.

Hiya Spenser. I remember you absolutely! Early on years ago here at Lit my friend, joydyan, once totally vouched for your character. Ever since then I think of you as one of Lit's good guys. Nice hangout you've got here.
PS: I used to be here all the time too. :rose:

Yes I remember you too... and joydyan vouched for my character? Wow... now that is a story I would love to hear. You will have to tell me sometime.

Thank you for thinking of me as one of the good guys... now I am just a good ole' guy.... LOL.... A lot of years have passed... But you look great... :rose:

*pops in for a minute* Hey Spenser. I hope your week is going well!

Thanks. But I feel bad every time someone thanks me. I've seen the news. I've heard the horror stories. I haven't seen any of it first hand. We went through the drills. What to do if we have a covid patient that goes to surgery? I'm a recovery room nurse. Every day or 2, new protocols were established. But I have yet to see a single covid patient. Our provinces shut down right away, and we are one of the smaller ones, so our numbers have been very good. Like very very good. We were the poster province for Covid prevention.
There are nurses who risked and continue to risk their lives out there. They are heros. I can't count myself among them.
Out of respect for the way you feel, I won't say thank you. But I appreciate what nurses do on a daily basis.
I have a sister and four cousins who used to be nurses. And you all deserve respect and admiration for your chosen field.

Well, it looks like I’m going through a divorce. She wants to be with her old fiancé before she married me. He has been keeping in touch with her all these years and now she wants to be with him. Not gonna fight...just move on.

Went to bed at 11:30 but woke up at 3. Can’t sleep, too much on my mind. The future is uncertain. It’s hard to start all over again at 65.

Hugs, my friend! I can only imagine how tough this will be for you, but you’ll do it. You have friends here to hold your hand.

So, I am starting to get things together and ready to move on with my life. It just is difficult to start all over again. I wish her the best... I'm concerned about my youngest daughter. I hope she can handle all the things that are going to change. And she must not blame herself ... this is an adult issue... and our fault not hers. Divorce can be so tough on all kids.

Hey, Spencer...
I'm here...can't say I relate, having never been married or had kids....but I know what you're going through...I have a few friends that had to start over after their divorces.
but it gets easier as time goes by.....you'll see:)
