In defense of Texas, a lot of people live there, so you're gonna get your share of dopes. I used to live in Gohmert's district, and I got along with most folks just fine, though I would often steer clear of topics such as contemporary politics, religion, or suggesting that the correct side lost the Civil War, unless I was sure of the sort of company I was in.

But Gohmert is not just stupid, he's among the Republican members who believe that performative stupidity actually helps them politically. I hope for the sake of the others in that hearing yesterday, including the 70-year-old Attorney General who was there for hours without a mask, that none of them were infected by this imbecile. The only positive is that most of the GOP members don't actually care about anything other than their TV time, so Gohmert might have only been in the hearing room briefly.

He should be starting his daily regimen of HCQ - if a little bit's good, more is better. Bless his pointy little head.

well he's entertaining the suspicion he got it FROM wearing a mask
there's just no teaching some people. and these hold elevated positions in certain states. it's depressing how many lives people like him cost this country

At least he is no longer a sitting judge. Have to be grateful for little things.

Holy shit, I was just kidding about the hydroxy! The idiot has apparently announced that he is going to actually do it. Thoughts and prayers.

I wouldn't put it past the right wing nutters to have one of their "doctors" say they tested positive when they actually tested negative, and then claim that Hydroxychloroquine cured them.

There are no lengths the GOP wouldn't go to, and no depths they wouldn't sink to, in their efforts to convince the public that they're not totally ignorant and incompetent when it comes to managing the Covid crisis.

After pushing the latest Hydroxychloroquine testimonial from a batshit crazy "doctor", Trump and the GOP have made it quite clear that they will never rely on science to make important decisions on people's health, the environment, or social issues.

Fuck them all.
