The school "system" from K to post-grad is all fucked up with egotistical teachers that have been warping little minds for a long time now. There are exceptions but overall they are near the core of all the problems you listed and a lot more.

What you personally know is irrelevant. Is there a NY state standard that mandates kids learn about something other than independent thinking.

They'd be received like any other student. Their paper would be graded on the rubric. Do doctors give patients different medical advice based on their political beliefs? Do firefighters not put out fires at houses where the resident may have different political beliefs than the firefighters? Of course not! It's ridiculous to say that teachers do that especially when you have no proof.
