From the servers to the pateons, what will ruin a dining out experience for you?

I used to be a server so I do have pet peeves when it comes to servers but I usually internalize and let it go. My main one is creepy server who won't stop flirting and leave the table. (A snapshot from my weekend).

I can't stand when someone takes a loud call or blows their nose while people are eating like... go outside. Gross. I'm pretty easy mostly though.

From the servers to the pateons, what will ruin a dining out experience for you?

Server behavior pet peeves: the kneeling down to be on your level. It’s so cheesy. Or offering up what they like, unsolicited. Otherwise, I’m good.

Other diners: everything. People are the worst. But generally people that are loud at other tables, people that answer phone calls at the table, people who make noises when they eat or are loud eaters. People who really want you to try their meal when you don’t want to.

Restaurant pet peeves: lazy vegetarian options. I’m looking at you, veggie burger or mushroom risotto. There are places where everything Veg is mushroom based, because ‘mushrooms are meaty and you must miss meat!’ It’s part of my hatred of all things mushroom.

Also, things that are too fusiony. Matzo ball pho, for example. Nope.

Generally speaking, it is a problem with patrons. I worked in restaurants for 20 years, I am pretty tolerant of issues with staff.

I do however, have an issue when I say, order a "Full Works Burger" (Bacon, Chili, Fried Egg) and substitute in the Gardenburger brand alternative patty that is listed on the menu as a legit substitution for "ANY" burger. Even after assuring the waiter that yes, I am aware it is a vegetarian patty, the manager comes over and says "Sir, you have ordered a vegetarian burger" "No, I ordered a Full Works Burger with a different patty" and think the manager understands my order, but when it comes out, I find the bacon, chili and fried egg, are in fact, on a separate plate, and not on the sandwich I ordered.

MOST places get it right, some places, just can't get it right, even when you explain it very clearly.

Funny story about that. It was an afternoon on a weekday in a small restaurant bar that is a bit off the beaten track, so they don't get much of a lunch crowd. I was alone and the hostess was eating her lunch at the bar after she had me seated at a table. She was very cute and I was definitely checking her out. She looked over at me and apologized for eating at the bar. I asked her if she wanted to sit down and eat at my table with me, so she did. We actually had a fun lunch.

I mostly look through the AM Pics section checking out the photos each day. There are some pretty incredible photos that get posted here. I haven't been participating in the forums for quite a while but started to do that. I'm not sure there are really any forms that i dislike, just forums that don't really interest me.

I peruse the BDSM Cafe and sometimes post there. They are very welcoming and pleasant. I have Faralicious to thank for giving that forum a try.

I used to get on the General Board but they are way too bitter. One who complained so much, i sent him a PM and directly questioned him on his thoughts to why and never got a response back. I guess he wanted to blow hot air and felt no sense of responsibility to answer back.

I have yet to explore everything. I went to the fetish area out of curiosity, but never got through it. I'm learning there's something here for EVERYBODY.

The GB is Lit's septic waste tank. I suppose that stuff has to go somewhere, and at least when it's there it doesn't contaminate the rest of the place.

I don't usually bother with Ampics, purely because it's hopelessly clunky and doesn't really work. This site isn't designed for organising images, which given it's meant to be about the written word is fair enough.

So mainly BDSM and the PG for me, but I pop into several other areas once in a while.

Well, my first home is Ampics. That is where my exhibitionist and voyeuristic heart is all aflutter. My favorite thread is my own, as well, exhibitionist thing. Second favorite is the not very active Cock pop thread. Hey, I really like erect bouncing cocks, I can't explain why. I just do. Plus, the people there are fun, and we have a common interest. Next would be PG. I like the little word games, what I might do or think about whomever above me, and this question thread. It is fun. It is easy. I might run into a conversation. I might make a new friend. Who knows. Next would be General Board. I really like the Finger Fucking Thread. I don't think I really need to explain why. Sometimes I like to eat popcorn and side eye some train wreck that pops up around there. I rarely post.

I have already shared that I avoid Personals, Fetish, and BDSM. I have poor self control. I see topics or people that I would like to engage and struggle hard to resist. If I do, I will draw out MasterDom69analtorturefuck with his ball gag and ranch dressing or seem to give the wrong impression of why I am here to someone who needs more, reply to one message, get like 20 back in rapid fire with read receipts. I irrationally hate read receipts. The overkill makes me uncomfortable, so I blow it off, then I feel guilty for blowing it off, then annoyed because it is ridiculous to feel guilty. Thus I avoid, so I don't engage, and I don't trigger the cycle of weirdness.
