during and since the lockdown i've been ordering shit on amazon. i'm sorry, they suck. i tried ordering $14 worth of pinbacks and the shipping from LA was $120. i ordered 2 iron on patches that would fit in a first class envelope-it turned out they were coming from china and after waiting 6 weeks i found out they'd never been sent. same thing with a package i'm waiting for...it's coming from lithuania and it has already been 6 weeks. when you buy the crap it never says it's being sent from the ends of the earth in advance. and apparently you can't contact amazon customer service on just a general level. one more order and i'm through.

Yep. You have to be careful. If I needed pin backs, I'd first try but you've got to be careful there. See where they ship from before you order.

I used to order a lot of jewelry supplies from Fire Mountain Gems. Never had issues with the findings but had some issues with the natural stone beads on my last purchase. Very shoddy placement of the holes. There were many I couldn't string at all. Holes too tiny, too close to the edge or just too rough inside the hole.

Times are tough. I've ordered some stuff from Amazon that I normally would have gone to stores for (stores that are closed). They've delivered even if a little slower than usual. With the closedown situation we're having, we're lucky that goods and food are being delivered at all.

Don't I know it.

I soooo agree, I ordered mask and waited 6 weeks, said it was shipped only to find out they were from China and never shipped. Prime is no longer prime and customer service sucks. I stopped ordering from Amazon.

good and bad

If I buy directly from Amazon, I've never had a problem. I had a book disappear, and when I called to let them know they just sent me another without any trouble. Then when it turned out a neighbor had grabbed it and then forgot about it when I returned home from a long weekend vacation, they just told me to keep it.

Third party sellers are different though. You have to deal with them, for the most part. No excuse for not letting you know its coming from China, though. I try to avoid those sellers and stick with buying directly from Amazon when I can.

Buying from the marketplace is always tricky. Gotta pay attention to details.
Buying straight from Amazon has never been a problem minus a couple hiccups over the years that they remedied quickly with little effort on my part.
Aint never had much bad to say about them. Go Bezos. I don't care how much money or power he has as long as I get my shit in 2 days or less at a reasonable price.

Also, has his ex hooked up with anyone yet? She's not bad looking at all and now she's the richest bitch in the world. Just sayin', I'm available. Even if I wasn't I would be for her.

I have never ordered from Amazon, they wouldn't know where to find me even if I did....

Yeah. She was with him pre Amazon, too, I believe. Dropped her for a social climber.

Dude messed up, IMO.

Since Covid, all I get is "unable to deliver" to your area. So, it is useless to me.

Walmart killed off the mom and pop stores. Amazon will kill off the survivors. Have you folks considered what you're going to do once there are no more local stores to go to and examine merchandise before you order online?

Stores were not opened for business here, up until 2 weeks ago. Online was the way..

You mean when people do what they've been doing for the last 20 years or so?

The last time I bought anything from Amazon, it was several books. At the time that's all that they sold.

From what I am given to understand, they have expanded their product line.

Thank you for making Jeff Bezos a trillionaire.

Then everyone will bitch and moan about it.

Spread the retail wealth.

The climber has a little bit of time to dig some gold and split before the bankruptcy.
