The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXII : Poor Lonely Lime

Yeah. Idiots over at the National Institute of Health <dot> Gov.

Better that you just wait to have twitter tell you what the "science" is.

Fun fact: The CDC has figured out that it is not being spread by casual surface contact. Which explains what I long ago pointed out that there have been no cases traced to a guy went through a door after some other guy went through a door. Respiratory viruses live in the lungs so they aren't spread that way. Like Clinton, just don't inhale. It takes prolonged, close contact to inhale a sufficient viral load to cause an infection, and you have to be a suitable host or it withers like unwatered seedlings.

I'm sure that you probably knew everything that you need to to know about this when we were first told about all of the millions of people that were going to die from that. I'm sure that's going to happen next week now that we've opened up.

Every single locale has followed Farr's law and flattening the curve just means extending the interval, the amplitude remains the same. "Flattening the curve" does not mean what you obviously think it means.

Yeah that is kinda like responding to the fact that I both brought receipts from the NIH official government website and pointed out the receipts to you, except for the part where you are still pretending I made it up.

You should stick to cooking lessons. You suck at everything else, including trolling.

You are that rare (albeit not so much here on the GB these days), special kind of stupid that only focuses on, and zeroes in on, what fits your narrative and you want to believe.

If you are truly oblivious as you appear to be about what has been happening around the world for the last several months, then there is little I can say of show you that will cure you of your stupid. You'd be pretty surprised at just how much I know about this virus, how it is spread and transmitted, and what needs to be done to minimize it's spread. Surprised sure, but I know in no way swayed, by any of the facts and information, because it runs contrary to how your small mind is wired.

I only wish that you and your fellow plague-rat RWCJ gang would stop with the misinformation. Like not having to use masks, and your nonsense above about it not being spread by surface contact. Not so much for your sakes, but for those few that come into contact with you and your lot, and either become infected, or transmit the virus on to others .

From the CDC:

COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly through close contact from person-to-person. Some people without symptoms may be able to spread the virus. We are still learning about how the virus spreads and the severity of illness it causes.

Person-to-person spread
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

COVID-19 may be spread by people who are not showing symptoms.
The virus spreads easily between people

How easily a virus spreads from person-to-person can vary. Some viruses are highly contagious, like measles, while other viruses do not spread as easily. Another factor is whether the spread is sustained, which means it goes from person-to-person without stopping.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is spreading very easily and sustainably between people. Information from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic suggest that this virus is spreading more efficiently than influenza, but not as efficiently as measles, which is highly contagious.

The virus does not spread easily in other ways
COVID-19 is a new disease and we are still learning about how it spreads. It may be possible for COVID-19 to spread in other ways, but these are not thought to be the main ways the virus spreads.

From touching surfaces or objects. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus.

From animals to people. At this time, the risk of COVID-19 spreading from animals to people is considered to be low. Learn about COVID-19 and pets and other animals.
From people to animals. It appears that the virus that causes COVID-19 can spread from people to animals in some situations. CDC is aware of a small number of pets worldwide, including cats and dogs, reported to be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, mostly after close contact with people with COVID-19. Learn what you should do if you have pets.

From the WHO:

How does COVID-19 spread?

People can catch COVID-19 from others who have the virus. The disease spreads primarily from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, which are expelled when a person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are relatively heavy, do not travel far and quickly sink to the ground. People can catch COVID-19 if they breathe in these droplets from a person infected with the virus. This is why it is important to stay at least 1 meter) away from others. These droplets can land on objects and surfaces around the person such as tables, doorknobs and handrails. People can become infected by touching these objects or surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth. This is why it is important to wash your hands regularly with soap and water or clean with alcohol-based hand rub.

WHO is assessing ongoing research on the ways that COVID-19 is spread and will continue to share updated findings.

As I said, you are a special brand of stupid, one that can't be fixed.

You deserve little but to be ridiculed, mocked, shamed, or ignored.

Stick to chasing the ghost of RDS all over the boards, as it seems to be the one thing you are truly good at and have had the most success doing, if one were to look at all the successes in your life.

Aww, coming back home from the store, taking off my mask, almost brings the same sensation as freeing the boobies from that pesky harness.

Aw, diddums- that's an awful lot of words to point out that what I said was correct and properly sourced. The ascription and strawmen need no defense since they are all in your head.

So, what's for dinner. Let's talk about something you actually know about. I've always enjoyed your culinary acumen.

Aww, coming back home from the store, taking off my mask, almost brings the same sensation as freeing the boobies from that pesky harness.

This.

I compare taking the mask off to when I used to rip off my bra and toss it across the room after a long day of work.

question; if someone dies from using the medicine prez, trump is pushing, does that make him libel//

Rum raisin ice cream, vanilla ice cream with raisins soaked in spiced rum for two days.

No, nor does it make him liable.

Also, "I don't know, I'm not a Doctor, I hear good things about it" complies with FDA requirements for all snake oil and other "dietary supplements" promotionals and so long as he appends with, "This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."

I think it is hilarious that the Food and Drug Administration has an actual regulation that stipulates not only the words you should say but where they should be placed in order to get around FDA regulation.

I hadn't noticed till now that you went all in on sprinkling this elsewhere:

now q is over in a thread saying racist things about one of our beloved members who happens to be a person of color. :(

What did this "q" say, exactly, and let's see the receipts, Luk.

Planted 2 kinds of lettuce, green beans, radishes, zukes and cukes. And for the fun of it, some corn and watermelon along the property edge. No idea what I will get.

So, does it count as irony that after my post the other day, my day started with "then the murders began"?

The world is just terrible and exhausting sometimes.

It will need a conveyor belt from the front door so that grubhub can drop off Micky Ds.

I said ONE might not have to leave the recliner - but that would not be me. Aside from the occasional takeout and bi-weekly pizza night with Smalls, I am cooking. We’ve had to completely change our lifestyles To the point I dreamt my mother decided I needed to vegan and all I could find anywhere were carrots
