The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXII : Poor Lonely Lime

been a mixed bag few days... the new phones arrived so i set them up, the new vac belts so i fixed the vac, we've planted more stuff and weeded/hay-mulched a ton, helped his ma'am by bottling her jelly she was making (it's always kinda runny but tastes fine), laundry and just a bunch of different stuff, all inbetween bouts of heat and rain.

tried a new biscuit recipe this morning that promised really tall, flaky-layered biscuits that called for a ton more butter in the recipe and different flour, lot more baking powder... they tasted okay but were dense and not even as tall as my regular, light, buttery, fluffy ones. H said 'they're some ugly biscuits, there' :D back to the drawing board in search of the flaky layers i guess!

The rain is foiling my plans, but at least the wind died.

Is it better to dig up a tree in the wet?

how big is the tree?

and this time of year? yeah. when they're dormant i don't think the dry will damage the root exposure but wet generally makes for an easier excavation of finer roots.

if it's a very young tree, try digging a large enough 'ball' around its roots so as not to disturb them at all if you can.

The sectional with recliners also has cup holders and charging ports. If they had just managed to incorporate a bathroom one might never have to leave the comfort of their couch.

It will need a conveyor belt from the front door so that grubhub can drop off Micky Ds.

Only if you want to save it.

I sure would like to.

It's a year or so, just a little crape myrtle.

wonder how many people will still be anti gmo once the virus vaccines are developed?

It's never hard to get idiots, especially a herd of idiots to do anything. They are idiots, after all.

You and Butters are safely masked while typing on Lit to each other from separate rooms, yes?

Stay safe!

I'm wondering how many anti-vaxxers will take it??

If Trump touts it, more than half the country will be anti-vaxxers.

He and the CDC say sunshine kills the virus in minutes. An awful lot of people are looking like characters from an Anne Rice novel.

Funny thing, that. Vitamin D is synthesized in the body by exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D is essential for immunological response. Covid 19 victims are consistently found to be deficient in vitamin D. Production of vitamin D is dependent upon absorption by the skin of UV rays, which melanin inhibits. Guess which demographic are getting hit hardest?

5,000 unit supplements are probably both enough for most, and safe.
