Trump to ‘take a lap’ at Daytona 500 while being driven in the presidential limousine

I vote he try it at 200 MPH!:D

The president of the United States wants to be driven around the Daytona 500 race track in the presidential limousine on Sunday.

During the NASCAR race, finishing drivers will complete 200 laps around the 2.5 mile-long track.

The news was reported by Fox News chief White House correspondent John Roberts.

@johnrobertsFox

SCOOP: Multiple Sources tell @FoxNews that @realDonaldTrump is planning to take a lap at the @DISupdates Daytona International Speedway in the “Beast” presidential limo ahead of the Daytona 500. It’s not 100%, but that is the plan at the moment.

MFG!

Internet brutally taunts Trump over collapse of case against McCabe: ‘There are some things even William Barr won’t do’

Trump is growing furious with Bill Barr despite denials: White House sources

Following Attorney General William Barr’s remarks on ABC News that President Donald Trump should stop tweeting about ongoing criminal investigations, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham insisted that the president was not upset by Barr’s seeming rebuke.

But according to The New York Times, people privy to the White House suggest that the president’s relationship with the attorney general has indeed become strained.

Hair Twitler is vexed!:)

France’s Emmanuel Macron publicly contradicted Mike Pompeo at Munich Security Conference

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Saturday traded barbs with European leaders over diminishing Western influence, rejecting as “grossly over-exaggerated” their claims that Washington had retreated from the global stage.

But the interesting thing was at the end of the article:

Russian energy reliance

In a nod to concerns about European dependence on Russian gas, Pompeo announced at the Munich forum that the US would finance energy projects in eastern EU countries.

“The United States –- through our International Development Finance Corporation, and with the support of the US Congress -– intends to provide up to $1 billion in financing to the Central and Eastern European countries of the Three Seas Initiative,” Pompeo told the conference.

“Our aim is to galvanise private sector investment in their energy sectors.”

The initiative is a club of 12 eastern and central EU countries that have grown increasingly concerned about the Russian giant in their backyard since Moscow’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.

At a Three Seas meeting in 2017, Trump offered to supply the grouping with US liquefied natural gas so they would never be “hostage” to a single Russian supplier.

Is that why Perry was part of the Chucklefucks caper? Excess gas marketing?:D

George Conway: Bill Barr will never stop covering up Trump’s crimes — and it will never be enough

In a brutally blunt op-ed for the Washington Post, conservative attorney George Conway dismissed out of hand William Barr’s worries about Donald Trump telling him what to do via Twitter, saying the president’s hand-picked attorney general is already in perfect sync with the president without a word being said.

As Conway — the husband of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway — put it, “No one does it better than Barr,” when it comes to “…anticipating Trump’s narcissistic whims and desires.”

Trump abandons #Daytona500 before it begins

It appears President Donald Trump either isn’t a race fan or he was mad at FOX for cutting his speech from the broadcast of the Daytona 500 Sunday.

While the president wasn’t scheduled to stay that long, he left even earlier, long before the race began.

Fox Sports would rather take Bloomberg's money than give Trumpski free advertizing!:D

Air Force One fly-by begins campaign rally

Trump takes off

President Trump and the First Lady saw precious little
racing at Daytona International Speedway, thanks in part
to a brief shower that delayed the start of the actual race.
As drivers returned to their cars for the start of the race,
now guarantee to end Sunday night, Air Force One took off,
with Trump destined for a Western campaign swing.

Currently still raining. Fans hiding under stands.

This rain is MUCH harder than before. Really bad.
This is going to be more of a two-hour type delay.

Red flag, cars coming down pit road.
Rain delay for awhile, my friends.

The start of the Daytona 500 on Sunday was delayed
by an unexpected rain shower that began moments
after Donald Trump and his motorcade finished
a ceremonial parade lap.

The start had already been pushed back 13 minutes
to accommodate Trump, who made a dramatic entrance
hours earlier, setting off a raucous celebrations.

Showers popped up out of nowhere and, unlike
the earlier rain, this time racing was delayed by
a heavy downpour after 20 laps. The good news
was that the entire 2.5-mile track won’t require
drying. The bad news was that there was a lot of
water to be removed. The sun quickly came out
and was helping matters. At least until the next
shower.

Washington Post issues scathing editorial about Trump hiding Secret Service costs at his properties

Trump Organization chief Eric Trump claimed that the taxpayers aren’ footing the bill for the exorbitant costs for the Secret Service to stay at President Donald Trump’s properties.

In a scathing editorial Sunday, the Washington Post said that no one is disputing that the president must have Secret Service protection, the problem is that the Trump family is making money off of them.

It’s unknown just how much it’s costing because Secret Service financial documents are not listed in public databases as with other government entities. The Secret Service also hasn’t filed their twice-annually report on spending to Congress that they’re required to do. In fact, since Trump took office, the Secret Service has refused to file at least five of the reports since the Secret Service began protecting Trump in 2016.

It has been reported that Trump golf has cost us close to $140 Million since he was elected!

Rob Reiner’s President’s Day message: Vote out the ‘narcissistic pathologically lying misogynistic racist’ in the White House

In a Twitter rant this President’s Day, actor, director, comedian, and vocal Trump critic, Rob Reiner, urged his followers to “elect a POTUS who is not a Malignantly Narcissistic Pathologically Lying Misogynistic Racist.”

“On this President’s Day let US vow that this Nov. we will elect a POTUS who is not a Malignantly Narcissistic Pathologically Lying Misogynistic Racist,” Reiner wrote. “One who believes in The Rule of Law, respects The Constitution, and doesn’t grab women by the p*ssy.”

Fox News reports wages rose faster under Obama than Trump after his campaign lashes out at predecessor

What! Fox News calls bullshit on Trumpikins!

In what was possibly a hint to remind people of his legacy this Monday, former President Barack Obama gave a shout out to the anniversary of his signing of the 2009 economic stimulus package.

“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” Obama tweeted with a photo of his signature on the bill.

The tweet didn’t go unnoticed by the Trump administration, which sought to counter Obama’s tweet by giving credit for the economy to President Trump.

“President Trump reversed every single failed Obama-era economic policy, and with it, reversed the floundering Obama/Biden economy,” Trump campaign national press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Fox News. “Obama and Biden orchestrated the worst economic recovery in modern history.”

But that narrative was undermined by none other than Fox News, which pointed out that Trump is riding on the coattails of Obama’s economic policies.
:D

There is some history that even Fox won't revise! :D:D

Does Donald Trump have a secret police force waiting in the wings?

A long time ago, before September 11, 2001, the right-most flank of the Republican Party tolerated the establishment’s compromise with racial liberalism, by which I mean “the basic consensus that existed across the mainstream of both political parties since the 1970s, to the effect that, first, bigotry of any overt sort would not be tolerated, but second, that what was intolerable was only overt bigotry—in other words, white people’s definition of racism.” (I’m using here Nils Gilman’s helpful definition.)

Yawn. But it goes on:

The official goal is increasing deportations by 35 percent. But intimidation appears to be the real goal. Among agents, the Times said, are “members of the elite tactical unit known as BORTAC, which acts essentially as the SWAT team … With additional gear such as stun grenades and enhanced Special Forces-type training, including sniper certification, the officers typically conduct high-risk operations targeting individuals who are known to be violent, many of them with extensive criminal records.”

Before the Times broke the news, Jenn Budd, a former Border Patrol agent turned civil rights activist, reported a conversation she had with a former senior agency official:

"Border Patrol does not believe they are a civilian law enforcement agency. They believe they are kin to the Marine Corps. They do not believe they are accountable to Congress, which is why they have no issues lying to them even while under oath.

They believe they are only accountable to … presidents like Trump. Border Patrol believes it is not required to answer to local police, FBI, CIA or any other law enforcement agency. They claim to be the “premiere” law enforcement agency, superior to all others. They say they will become a “national police force” to be used by a president to enforce laws even among citizens. (Bold are emphatically mine.)"

Judge Amy Jackson refuses to reschedule Roger Stone’s sentencing after he requests new trial

Jackson made the ruling during a conference call with attorneys and prosectors.

The jusge indicated that she would rule on the request for a new trial at a later date. She said that Stone’s sentence will not be executed until the new trial ruling has been made.

Maddow breaks down potential ‘direct financial connection’ between the Russian government and Donald Trump

MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow read bombshell excerpts from a new book set for release on Tuesday.

The host interviewed David Enrich, finance editor at The New York Times, about his forthcoming book Dark Towers: Deutsche Bank, Donald Trump, and an Epic Trail of Destruction.

The host of “The Rachel Maddow Show” read excerpts from the book.

“There was no doubt that Deutsche Bank had extensive business dealings with Russia, and those dealings included acting as a conduit for dirty money to get out of Russia and into the western financial system,” Enrich wrote.

“Deutsche, of course, was the only reliable connection that Trump, his family, and his company had to the mainstream banking world. And Eric Trump had blurted that Russians financed the family’s golf projects — even though it was Deutsche who had made the Doral loans,” he explained. “Perhaps this was more than a coincidence. Maybe Deutsche was what connected Trump to Russia. The rumor that had been ricochetting around Washington, New York and London was that VTB had in the recent past funneled dirty money to Trump via Deutsche.”

The depths of Trump’s paranoia: One person who may know him the best explains what’s ahead

President Donald Trump’s biographer, Michael d’Antonio, knows a great deal about his life, his behavior, and his long history of paranoia. A piece in The New York Times Monday summed up the president’s state of mind during the impeachment with one word: “paranoid.”

Speaking to the long history of paranoia, d’Antonio recalled that in Trump’s book The Art of the Comeback, he wrote ten tips for an effective comeback. No. 3, he said, was “be paranoid.”
Report Advertisement

“He thinks that paranoia is an effective strategy when it comes to managing people and when it comes to doing business,” said the biographer. “And I think all of the attitudes that we see him bring into the presidency are things that evidence themselves early in his life. So, he’s never trusted people very readily and is very quick to identify someone as an enemy. And then try to root out those who aren’t loyal enough. So paranoia is something that’s always been a trait for the president, and he considers it a useful, even constructive thing.”

Is it really paranoia, if people actually hate you?:)

President Donald Trump is expected to grant clemency to former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was impeached and removed from office in 2009 on corruption charges, and former New York police commissioner Bernard Kerik, two people familiar with the president's plans said Tuesday. Trump: ‘I know’ who the anonymous White House author is but ‘I can’t tell you’

:) Said the Bridge Salesman!:)

President Donald Trump insisted on Tuesday that he knows the identity of an “anonymous” staffer who has leaked dirt about the White House.

The president was asked by reporters whether the White House is conducting a search for the anonymous author.

“It’s not so much a search,” Trump explained. “I — I know who it is.”

The Daily Beast reported earlier on Tuesday that White House trade adviser Peter Navarro is conducting the internal investigation.
