1) Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger addressed a Ku Kux Klan meeting of KKK wives back in the 1920's.

2) Robert Byrd joined the Ku Kux Klan as a young man and rose to the rank of "Exalted Cyclops" while also getting himself elected as a U.S. Senator (in 1958) representing the state of West Virginia, a post he'd hold until his death in 2010.

3) As a U.S. Senator, Byrd fully supported Planned Parenthood-founder Margaret Sanger's organization and its "pro-choice" agenda!

4) As a U.S. Senator, Byrd also voted AGAINST confirming both of the two BLACK justices serving on our U.S. Supreme Court (Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas). In the case of Thomas, Byrd's reverence for Margaret Sanger may have played a role, as Justice Thomas was/is pro-life.

5) Former KKK officer Byrd's opposition to Thurgood Marshall was almost certainly based primarily on the man's RACE, as ten other (segregationist) U.S. Senators also voted against seating Judge Marshall onto our nation's highest court: ten Democrats and one Democrat-turned-Republican: Strom Thurmond!

6) When U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond passed away in 2003, Democratic Party then-U.S. Senator Joe Biden delivered the eulogy at his funeral.

7) And when U.S. Senator Robert Byrd died in 2010, then-President Barack Obama delivered the eulogy at HIS funeral!

What if Joe Biden had said: "I think the only reason Barack Obama was elected president of the United States is because he's Black" - would we now be saying that he just hit the nail on the head?

My point is that ALL SEVEN statements are the truth. Barack Obama was able to forgive Robert Byrd's violently racist past after Senator Byrd helped the president pass his signature health care legislation. But that doesn't change the fact that Byrd voted AGAINST the confirmations of our nation's only two black U.S. Supreme Court justices (Thurgood Marshall in '67 and Clarence Thomas in '91)! He is the ONLY U.S. Senator who can make that claim!
