As the 152nd week opens the Nation screams for his scalp!

Newspapers line up to demand the impeachment of President Donald Trump

So far, 52.3 percent of Americans believe that President Donald Trump should be impeached. Major newspapers are following the public outcry as well.

The Washington Post: Impeach
Los Angeles Times: Impeach
Boston Globe: Impeach
Orlando Sentinel: Impeach
Philadelphia Inquirer: Impeach
USA Today: Impeach
Tampa Bay Times: Impeach

As Mark Elliot noted, this is only the beginning of those papers agreeing that there is no defense for the president’s actions. In fact, no one has shown that better than Republicans in the House, who argued against the process, the witnesses and the Democrats, but failed to argue that what the president had done wasn’t illegal.

That's quite a hole you've dug yourself, Donald!:)

‘Moscow Mitch’ blunder means Donald Trump can never be vindicated: Harvard Law’s Laurence Tribe

Constitutional law expert Laurence Tribe blasted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for violating a legal principle that has existed for over 1,000 years — and his move means that President Donald Trump can never be vindicated during impeachment.

Tribe said, “what it looks like is that the majority leader is going to conduct this trial as though he’s a member of the defense team,” Tribe said. “You know, it’s an ancient principle, centuries-old — actually over a millennium old — that you can’t be a judge on your own case and effectively, to allow Donald Trump to call the shots, violates that principle.”

However, Tribe said the approach, “may backfire.”

“The reason it may backfire is that an exoneration — if that’s what emerges by a Senate that is essentially rigged and fixed so that it’s coordinated in this way with the defense really doesn’t clear the name of the accused so that the president will go down in history as having been essentially found guilty by the House in a proceeding where he had a chance to defend himself, but didn’t take advantage of it and then in a kind of rubber stamp sort of toss off, not really given a meaningful trial so that he will have been adjudicated fundamentally by the House of Representatives to have abused his office, abused his oath, and endangered the national security and then blockaded in the inquiry as though he were a dictator,” he charged.

How about this, R's and D's get to call 10 witnesses each, no failures to appear backed by the Federal Marshals. Direct a cross examined and then the Senate votes, in public and let the people decide if they want the same assholes re-elected?:D

Trump adviser admits president ‘will come out of this impeachment process unhinged’

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta learned from a top adviser to President Donald Trump that he will likely come out of the impeachment completely “unhinged.”

“I think it’s starting to sink in that he’s about to be impeached,” Acosta told CNN’s John Berman Friday evening. “Impeachment is coming. He was asked about these issues earlier today. He was asked about the prospect of a Senate trial that comes after he’s impeached in the House. There’s been a debate going on back and forth between the White House and Republicans up on Capitol Hill about whether or not a Senate trial is a good idea. I will tell you, I talked to a source familiar with discussions going on inside the White House who said the president is starting to listen to the counsel coming from his attorneys saying a shorter trial would be better. It would obviously remove the possibility there would be unforeseen bombshells emerging and you heard the president sounding open to that idea.”

Brennan found it interesting that the source felt “unhinged” would be something different to which we are accustomed.

Trump has already proclaimed that the impeachment “isn’t fair.”

Was Trumpski ever "Hinged?"

Conservative explains how ‘boot-licker’ Lindsey Graham can be banned from impeachment vote

Conservative Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin blasted Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in her Sunday column, noting that no one ever really expected anything better from him.

Without even hearing the details of the case, the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman also revealed that he doesn’t need to hear anything, he believes President Donald Trump should be acquitted. He also dismissed any notion that he had to be a “fair juror,”

She told Democrats that when they begin the trial in the Senate they should appeal not to the Republicans, but to the presiding judge, Chief Justice John Roberts and get him to disqualify Graham as a juror.

Jurors are supposed to take an oath as required by the Constitution:

“I solemnly swear (or affirm) that in all things appertaining to the trial of ____, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws, so help me God.” Rubin said that Graham cannot take that oath in good faith because he’s already declared he will ignore all evidence.

Can John Roberts obey the law or....?:)

Support for impeachment climbs to 54 percent in Fox News poll after Trump pitches fit over previous poll

Support for impeaching President Donald Trump hit a record high of 54% in a Fox News poll that was released on Sunday.

Half of those surveyed told Fox News that the president should be impeached and removed. An additional 4% believe that the president should only be impeached. In all, 13 percent more respondents thought that the president should be impeached than those who thought he shouldn’t.

In October, Trump lashed out at Fox News after the network published a poll that found a majority of registered voters backed impeachment.

Since that time, Trump has tried to create the false narrative that support for impeachment is waning.

Do you believe Fox? Do you believe the poll? Or do you believe the Donald? From California, it's hard to gauge the rest of the country. However I don't believe Donald at all.:)

I believe Graham should resign or be expelled.

Might be more fun though if he, Moscow Mitch and a few other lying sniveling bastards were excluded from 'voting' though. Just enough, one more than is necessary ....

Russia’s State TV Calls Trump Their ‘Agent’

Russian commentators note, rightly, that “sooner or later, the Democrats will come back into power," and they’re already joking about offering Trump asylum.

Sometimes a picture doesn’t have to be worth a thousand words. Just a few will do. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov returned home from his visit with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week, Russian state media was gloating over the spectacle. TV channel Rossiya 1 aired a segment entitled “Puppet Master and ‘Agent’—How to Understand Lavrov’s Meeting With Trump.”

Vesti Nedeli, a Sunday news show on the same network, pointed out that it was Trump, personally, who asked Lavrov to pose standing near as Trump sat at his desk. It’s almost the literal image of a power behind the throne.

None dare call it Treason!

Giuliani drops stunning confession — and undermines Trump’s defense against impeachment again

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani has undermined President Donald Trump’s defense in the House of Representatives impeachment inquiry — again.

In an interview with The New Yorker, Giuliani admitted that he got former American ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch fired so that he could more easily pursue his efforts to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden.

Keep digging Rudy! You'll get to China any day now.

Trump gives excuse for skipping 2020 debates: ‘Commission is stacked with Trump haters!’

President Donald Trump admitted on Monday that he was really considering skipping any debates in 2020 between himself and his eventual Democratic opponent.

In a tweet, the president claimed that he would love to debate the Democratic nominee next year but whined that the debates commission was supposedly “unfair” to him.

“The so-called Commission on Presidential Debates is stacked with Trump Haters & Never Trumpers,” the president complained. “3 years ago they were forced to publicly apologize for modulating my microphone in the first debate against Crooked Hillary.”

Vox.com’s Aaron Rupar notes that the president’s claim about the debate commission giving him a “public apology” in 2016 after some issues with his microphone arose during the debate is completely false.

Dodge, deflect and Lie, is what he does. Maybe if he wasn't so hateful there might be someone who likes him. R's only tolerate him because he is "Their's."

Trump's base doesn't require him to debate an opponent. I never thought he'd be showing up to anything but his own orchestrated campaign rallies during the 2020 campaign. Why should he from his perspective?

I just finished A Warning by Anonymous. In it he/she says one of the reasons Trump's giving all the rallies was to get him out of the White House with something to do so he'd be less likely to really fuck something up. :D

I heard that in a TV interview as well. The rallies put Trump (and his rabid supporters) into their own little world. Facts, common sense, and logic aren't going to get into the bubble. Not going to 2020 debates, of course, as last time, leaves him open to have a "charity" event for veterans and then steal the money. Not much was made of it the first time he did it (except for a $2 million fine, which he probably paid with money stolen from somewhere else), so why not do it again? Republicans don't seem to mind. His real-life supporters and the board Trumpettes here certainly don't.

I thought Donnie was opposed to them?

You mean the hemos and the shemos?

He’s a peach. Too bad he can’t dip into the Trump Foundation anymore.

I don't think they've caught up with all of the unspent and unacounted for inauguration committee money yet. Trump's been dipping into funds that aren't his one way or the other for decades. I trust he's still doing it. The Republicans in Congress and the board Trumpettes don't seem to care.

Show some proof ….and BTW you're still a dried up wrinkled asshole.

Oh, look, Moonflasher is back. Stalking me, I assume. I don't open this alt's posts.

Trumpski may need an escape after another dick-tater finds democracy may be lethal.

Former Pakistan leader Musharraf sentenced to death: state media

Exiled former Pakistan military leader Pervez Musharraf was sentenced to death Tuesday after being found guilty of treason, an unprecedented move in a country where the armed forces are often considered immune from prosecution.

The court’s decision marks the first time a former leader of the armed forces has been sentenced to death in Pakistan, where the military maintains a firm grip on power and has ruled the country for roughly half its 72-year history.

In 2017, a Pakistani court pronounced him a fugitive in the murder trial of Bhutto — the first woman prime minister of a Muslim country.

The anti-terrorism court also branded Musharraf an absconder and ordered the confiscation of his property.

Musharraf is alleged to have been part of a broad conspiracy to have Bhutto killed before elections. He has denied all charges.

Following the court’s decision Tuesday, Bhutto’s son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari tweeted: “Democracy is the best revenge”.

:)

We’re about to find out if Trump can literally get away with murder

Technically, the high court said Friday that it will take up whether Trump’s tax returns and supporting financial records must be turned over to three different investigations.

The deep issue in the three cases the Court is taking up is whether the justices will embrace Trump’s claims of being above the law. I doubt that, but if the high court proves me wrong our liberties and our republic will be in deep jeopardy.

The two Congressional subpoena cases also go to the heart of our Constitutional system with its three co-equal branches of government.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear all three cases in March with one hour of oral argument. A decision is expected in June.

June? Just in time for the House to indite Trumpski for tax fraud before November!:)

Here are 10 videos of protesters standing up around the country to demand Trump’s impeachment

On Tuesday, on the eve of the vote to impeach President Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, crowds gathered in every corner of the country for “Nobody Is Above The Law” rallies, in which people marched and chanted to demand the president be removed from office.

The protests were far and wide, in cities from coast to coast, many of them centered on key House and Senate offices to pressure specific members to take action.

InfoWars reporter’s plan to crash impeachment rally with a bullhorn flops after Texas troopers intervene

While attempting to storm a recent anti-Trump rally at the Texas state capitol, InfoWars reporter Owen Shroyer was confronted by a pair of Texas state troopers, who told him to put away his bullhorn.

“Trump is innocent!” Shroyer yelled through the mic as he approached the rally. At one point, a trooper enters the frame and forcefully pushes back Shroyer.

Good thing he was white or...
