What Are You Thinking? Continued 5

Thinking about an occasion of commingled paranoia and wonder. I woke up recently to someone knocking on my door. I ignored it because I thought it was likely to be the bipolar prostitute I’m trying to avoid. And this thought troubled me for an hour. Then I stepped outside and found a Quiche Lorraine and a cup of homemade salsa on my doorstep. Had no idea who might have left me such a gift, but I was quite sure it wasn’t the prostitute. Then I went on one of my daily walks; there are dogs all over the place, and I like to visit them all. I heard barking from a place where I don’t usually hear barking from, and found the woman who’d left food at my door! She was visiting my 85-year-old neighbor (with her dog), a neighbor who gave me my first job as a teenager, and now moves so slow that I can read the day’s newspaper while he walks from his mailbox to his front door, but he amazingly still always has a girlfriend. I’d just met his current girlfriend the day before, but she was kind enough to bring me food. I was both mystified and overwhelmed by her thoughtfulness.

Ask one of them what they see and maybe, just maybe you can get a clue to his mojo.

Hey whatever works. Hang with him more and take his leftovers. No shame in it.

A while back, I picked him up when he fell off his back porch. He had fallen hard enough for his dentures to fall out. I'm going to miss him when he's gone. Then again, he could outlive me.

Better go visit more often. Never know when your gonna fall over and need his help. Lol

Hell, I get drunk and fall out of bed. He's nowhere to be found.

I do make a habit of visiting my neighbors. I used to feel arrogantly independent, but I have learned the importance of having more people in my life. And this old man did things that brought both fun and practical service to many, many people.

I'm not a vindictive person by any means, but I spent most of this morning plotting to destroy my noisy neighbour.

I’m thinking that I may run away soon...I thought the teen girl was going to be the one to drive me to it, but nope! It’s the teen boy who has finally tipped me over the edge!

Apparently the USA collectively got out of the bed on the wrong side today judging by the calls!

Give me a Canadian instead any day, not that I’m biased 😁😈

What a blessing to be working from home so I can punch out to take a break when I feel like crap on a cracker!
