Big Sur

So I took a drive down Big Sur yesterday... it was so gorgeous. I need a man who has a house there ( what do you think of my chances? )

They have a small place called the Henry Miller Memorial Library that seems to be the centre for a number of cultural events and have the actual David Crosby playing next week. I mean WTF. “ Almost Cut my Hair” would probably make it onto my All Time Top 10 songs if I had the necessary gumption to make such a list.

Anyway Henry Miller... has anyone read him? I know he wrote Tropic of Cancer and it was edgy / controversial but I don’t actually know much else about him. I wish we’d stopped off yesterday to check the place out.

Very cool. I love driving down Highway 1 from SanFran. The scenery is pretty breathtaking. Hopefully you drove down to Big Sur and went thru Point Lobos which is one of my favorite stops.

I do not know much about Henry Miller other than yeah Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn which I have always found to be a fucking drag. People have suggested I read his memoir about Big Sur but never got around to it. When it comes to CA authors I am more Bukowski and Steinbeck and John Fante
