I took the morning off and went fishing with a friend. She caught some fish and got to go skinny dipping for the first time in her life. Something everyone should do before they are forty.

I have an incentive for finishing all the incomplete drafts on my hard drive. I've made a start with seven entries for the Summer Loving contest and two ready and waiting for Halloween with two more in progress.

Why?

The medics have been very unhelpful but tonight my medical daughter, a palliative care specialist in a large hospice, has been more direct. She says we should plan to have a big celebration for our 48th wedding anniversary in six months time because I am very unlikely to survive until our 50th in 2022.

I have already discussed with my wife updating my will and what sort of funeral I should have.

Over the next few months I will try to finish the part-written stories and avoid breeding any more plot bunnies.

Didn't manage to write much the last few days, sadly. Finally got to writing last night, but I was tired and only managed about 500 words. Story is nearly done though, just need one good writing day to finish up the draft. Perhaps today is the day?

I'm not quite sure how to put it into words, but all this news regarding your health saddens me greatly. That's very sad news. I never know what to wish people in this kind of situation, but... whatever you choose to do in that time, I wish you the very best with it. I always enjoy your posts here.

Ogg, that is sad news I must say. Here is hoping for the best. My mother lived with a spot on her lung for most of her life. Maybe the biopsy will show it's not a problem. You have my prayers.

Earlier in the year I thought about what to do with my backlog of unfinished stories and you have many more than I do. Keep writing and see if you can find someone you trust to continue your work.

I know, like everybody else, that I will eventually die. It is still a shock to be told I haven't got long when I feel fit and not in pain. But I have been around for a long time, and a long time on Literotica.
