no, america hates boobies. not as much as like china, but UK knows their boobies. If I said 36JJ most americans would associate 36J US which is 5 sizes smaller than a 36JJ UK. really it would be an american 36N. but american manufacturers don't make that size, even the widest range ones usually stop at US K and most stop at US H. Anyway, I review clothing from americans, thus if using a size standard not based on US, you specify it. just like if you look at an american website that does import some UK bras to cover the size of more people, they put a big note,"note this is a UK sized product, Not US sizing, refer to the size conversion chart" because again if an american woman who wore a 36H and say a bra she liked size in UK and bought a 36H, she would get a bra like 4 sizes too big. If I was wearing a US product, I would not specify country.

sorry, clothing reviewer thing, not like y'all are buying. but yeah habit when talking clothes. brand, style, size, and purchase place are always specified, price if currently on sale.

why, ok, not only is clothing sizing not standardized among countries, it isn't even standard in the same country. So this top for example. I got one in this size and one in the size up to review. other reviewers of this shirt thought it ran small, ie advising anyone to purchase a size larger than what the size chart said. I actually disagree. but fine you could pick between us who might be right, and that is all well and dandy maybe, except then you are still starting at a baseline assuming a bust 5inches bigger than waist, as that is what is standard and thus you can either order your size or your size plus one. but this garment also specifies it is stretchy and indeed is stretchy. so depending how the size chart is read, this top is like 5 sizes too small for me or like 5 sizes too big for me.

Now, when you do clothing reviews, you tend to have the same audience (who already know your measurements and common size or check) and they tend to identify with and determine they want maybe 2 sizes smaller than this reviewer or 2 sizes larger than that reviewer. Now, I took two different sizes. If I had listened to the other reviewers and not reviewed it myself, I may not have gotten any, as this is the 2nd largest size and the other is the largest size, and the other reviewers say I need 1 size larger than my size on the size chart, but this is 5 sizes smaller than my size on the size chart. But other women who just flatly listened to me say no it doesn't run small, would be annoyed, as it is based on build. the skittle, bell, pear, and apple types need to size up from their hips as the top in the actual size will pull against the belly. the goblet, cornet, and lollipop need to size down from their boobs as the top has enough stretch in the boobs to handle it. Hourglass, cello, brick, column, and vase well, they need to determine that as that is less obvious to me, and that is why clothing reviewers list size. make sense?
