The Isolated Blurt Thread XXIX : So Stupid

I’m getting worried about America. This fruits and vegetables on perfectly good pizza concept is dangerous and maybe even unconstitutional. I’ll have to check.

For the last five (5) days in a row, the weather geniuses have predicted an 80% or better chance of "HEAVY RAIN" and warned of flooding.

Result:
Not a single drop of rain has fallen.

The only thing more predictable and boring than the weather report is some pompous assbag whining about the weather report on a message board.

I made the black beans in the instant pot, and used some of the bean water in the chili. On the stove I browned a couple pounds of ground venison with decased garlic venison sausage; added some chili, spicy chili, garlic, & onion powder, cayenne, paprika, cumin and salt. Then I sauteed onions with bell and jalapeno peppers. I think I used ten jalapenos, because they needed to be used and I wanted the heat.

Mixed together the beans, venison, veggies, and three 28oz cans of diced tomatoes. At this point I had to split between the Crock and instant pot. Used a can of tomato paste between the two batches, added bay leaf.

You know what I would miss about not using the Crock-Pot? The smell that drifts through the house the whole night as it cooks. I wasn't happy with one run through of 30 minutes pressure/30 minutes slow release, so I did an additional 25/15.

im on the 3rd season now but wtf?

what was the house? was it a demon? alien?

also what was jules backstory that was so bad she had to be reborn?

Channel Zero doesn't really do back stories. Most the time, we join the story after it's started. I believe the house was a demon.

why did i think the next season of glow came out today? it's not out until fucking friday, damn it.

It's too warm to do all that cooking inside, here. Chili will be on my list to make in September. I will be grilling another steak this evening. And, as long as the weather is nice, eating it out on the deck.

The seller jumped out of a plane, broke their legs, and won't be moving out for another two months. Seriously.

Did they not learn about consequences for stupid ass actions when they were kids?

The phone rang this morning and it was another damned telemarketer selling some kind of insurance for old cars. It's a damned Sunday! I wanted to cuss out his supervisor and told him so and to put him on. but the damned guy wouldn't. And it must have been abusy place because I could hear a lot of other voices talking when I was talking to him. Some people are just so rude! Ruined my quiet start before mass. Made me all hot!

The chili was necessary. I had a friend load me up with what seems like an entire deer worth of venison. I had to get some cooked or buy a second freezer.
