This small population seems to have the only right to tell the rest of the nation how to act. Even with the Gov. of N.Y. and his brother, boss of CNN who are unable to tell what sex they are, have no right to tell the majority of the people in this country how to act or behave.

They say that their feelings are hurt because someone might call them a man or a woman and that even the spelling of any word that has man or woman or person in it (like manhole cover) should be taken out of the dictionary. Even the polite "Ladies and Gentlemen" hurts their poor feelings. Tough.

I have Gay friends and they do not push their sex life on me (what they do in the bed room is their business) but when a small group brings it into the school room or business or streets is not. And having a less than 1% (who somehow the Communists in this country seem to think will get them elected if they are forced into an honest election) is not a majority or a group mentioned under the Constitution and won't win an election. If they want to have an honest election they would not be insulting the majority of the citizens.

Hate is a crime, and they use hate and lies to cause economic and social problems. When they bring children into their "sex life style" that is abuse. If a person grows up and is gay they should not be discriminated against. When they force their sexual behavior on others than they are doing what they say others are doing to them and both groups are wrong. Life is not a one way street.

It is great however that they live in a country like the U.S. for if they lived in China or any other Socialist run country or country with a state religion they would end up in prison or dead. Here, if they obey the laws and not abuse or hate or damage then they have a right to their life style. And all others have a right to theirs.

As anybody knows who's followed socialist politics for any length of time, socialist movements are tremendously prone to internal disagreement. If you put two socialists together in a room, you'll get three different socialist factions. So it shouldn't be a surprise that socialist governments' treatment of LGBT people ranges from "awful" through "mediocre" to "excellent".

China is somewhere in the middle of that spectrum: it isn't a great place for LGBT people, but contrary to Scott's nonsense, you're not likely to get locked up let alone killed purely for being LGBT. Same-sex relationships are legal and so is gender transition.

Uruguay, OTOH, is a "Socialist-run" country that's considered one of the most LGBT-friendly places in the world. Since the Socialist Party's Tabaré Vásquez became President in 2005 it's passed a bunch of LGBT-friendly laws, including legalising same-sex marriage in 2013 two years before it became law in the USA.

As for "countries with state religions", Scott seems to be ignorant of Malta, Denmark, Iceland, and England, to name just a few. Even in Vatican City, the most state-religion-y country in the world, homosexual sex is legal and won't get you "in prison or dead".

Okay, so going by your research; current population of USA is approximately 329,832,450 as of Saturday, November 23, 2019. Multiply by 0.58% results in 1,913,028 citizens.

The post quoted above makes me wonder; If nearly two million citizens of the USA aren't enough to be represented, have laws enacted by duly elected officials, and live in peace while being treated as equals in this country — what's the magic number? Three million?

As is almost always the case, an inability to have empathy for those who differ is so often a toxic handicap to a 'live and let live attitude'.

Here's a fun idea; How many US citizens are in a wheel chair and need accessible ramps, doors and such? One quick search says this; There are an estimated 3.3 Million wheelchair users in the United States and the number is increasing every year. (it's the internet, do your own checking if in doubt)

Does anyone remember how much money was spent to renovate public toilets during the 1990's ? It was a huge investment....and what a waste, only about 3,000,000 people

I just posted this thought a while ago; Ignorance is the most difficult handicap to cure. Yet, it is the cause of so much; from lowering economic growth, welfare, addiction/alcoholism, broken families and just generally ruined lives. Ignorance disables a person — it's a costly problem that seems to be on the rise.
