Remember how the Democrats predicted the Republican Tax Reforms would be economic "armageddon," especially for those on the lower rungs?

Well...

Unemployment for workers without bachelor's degrees fell to the lowest rate in 19 years in April, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday, a sign the recovery is benefiting the people most in need of help as it stretches toward a 10th year.

Unemployment for workers without four-year or graduate degrees fell to just 3.5% in April, the lowest such mark since the 3.4% rate in April 2000, which was the lowest recorded, with data going back to 1992.

That statistic, which is adjusted for seasonal variations, represents workers above the age of 25 without associate's degrees or who didn't finish college, people with only high school degrees, and high school dropouts. Those groups generally have much higher unemployment rates.

As overall joblessness has declined — unemployment for all civilian workers hit the lowest rate in 50 years in April — groups that usually are at the margins of the workforce have seen gains.

For example, minority workers have enjoyed historically low unemployment rates in recent months. Hispanic unemployment saw a record low of 4.2% in April. During the worst of the recession, Hispanic workers saw joblessness of as high as 13%.

Another example is that wage growth has been the highest in lower-wage industries in recent months.

"This is an economy that is working for workers," said Martha Gimbel, director of economic research for Indeed Hiring Lab. "Another astonishingly strong month of jobs growth shows the continued strength of this recovery. ... Jobs continued to grow fastest in middle- and high-wage industries, while wage growth was fastest in low-wage industries."

Overall wage growth has accelerated in 2019, with anecdotal reports of businesses having to offer better salaries and benefits to attract workers as it has become harder to find qualified people who are available.

I think you left off the 101 end to your title.

If you follow the political devout, they are already fighting back against this "fake news."

The economy was so much better, or at least getting better, you know, setting the foundation firm under President Obama's superior economic acumen. Trump didn't do any of this, just like Bush didn't create any of the programs that President Obama's peeps claimed credit and success for.

On the day President Obama was elected, the planet began to heal, the tides obeyed their commands and the economy began its slow turnaround. On the day President Obama left office, the economy was imperiled, the planet was devastated and the Russians were calling the shots, or the Jews, depending on who you asked on what day.

In short, Trump has taken the Obama economic miracle and tarnished it by rebranding it as a Trump Tower...

Anxiety on the left reached new heights last week, with the government reporting that the nation’s economy had grown at an unexpectedly fast pace in the first quarter of the year. While Trump took credit for the surging economy, Democratic presidential contenders were immersing themselves in the Mueller report and debating whether incarcerated felons should be allowed to vote....

“We don’t really have a robust national message right now” on the economy, said Celinda Lake, a leading Democratic strategist and pollster. “We will tend to talk about things like paid leave and equal pay — and those things are all very popular policies. But they don’t add up to an economic message that is robust enough to win the presidency and beat Donald Trump, who talks about a very robust economic policy.”

... Mary Kay Henry, president of the Service Employees International Union, said that despite “good, specific ideas for certain sectors of the economy that have been put forward,” labor organizers still “are looking for a comprehensive response” from Democrats on the economy....

According to a recent CNN poll, 71 percent of Americans rate the nation’s economic conditions favorably....

D. Siders, Dems sweat Trump’s economy: ‘We don’t really have a robust national message right now’, Politico (Apr. 28, 2019) (emphasis added).

They do have a robust and powerful message and it is anti-Trump and pro-Impeachment.

Please say it's not so, please don't tell me Uncle Joe is wrong. He's the pillar of truth for the Dems. He was going to bring us back to the good old days. OH WOE is me!

I trust you're being facetious.

The best thing that could happen for Trump is for the Democrats to push impeachment.

The best thing for him would be if they impeached; they've learned that lesson.
The goal now is to besmirch and impeach the people and reputations of the Trump Administration.

The Devil has to be targeted, isolated and ridiculed and then he can be removed. They have tried direct character assassination but the man is a character and was known to be such upon election, so that cannot be killed. In short, impeachment is off the table, but the threat of impeachment will be the underlying current of every move they make, every breath they take, they'll be watching him...

Let me illustrate.

The better the economy gets, the louder the cries about inequality and the plight of those left behind becomes. Because the Democrat Party and the press (and academia) are one monolithic edifice, the effort will be directed towards creating an economic resentment on the part of just enough voters to re-swing a few deplorable Congressional Districts...

Every day, they will be told how bad they have it and the cumulative effect is that of, "Well, I really do have it okay, but I read, I am in touch, I am informed, ergo, I am acting on the behalf of my neighbor who must not be one of the lucky ones who are able to survive in a capricious and unfair Trump economy of the rich, for the rich and by the rich..."

Full employment for the less educated, yet BotanyBoy, NotIshmael, NotVetteman and NotAJ remain unemployed. Wat Tyler and Que are at the mercy of the "gig economy". Speaking from a Lit GB perspective, the economy has a long way to go to absorb the bottom quintile of lesser educated workers.

SO...what you are implying is that illegal immigration is putting a strain on the economy. It takes some a little longer to "get it". :)

How the fuck am I unemployed? Or less educated?

The tds induced lying is off the charts....poor Rob is conflating not being an anti-American communist with being less educated again.

Remember this thread when we pay for it. What stupid people dont understand...the only way to balance a budget, is to cut programs or raise taxes. Since over 2/3s of the budget is mandatory...and this is the portion that keeps increasing, it is a time bomb ticking away. Cut programs that account for 0.1% of the budget all you want. It has no impact on fiscal policies. You are fucked.

Need to raise the taxes on that lower 47% .....time for them to start paying their fair share. :D

Same as always. "It's the Economy, stupid." The Democrats still don't get that.Time is running out. Their platform is dependence and misery. Everyone sees that. They have to stop the TDS and get to work on meaningful things, such as enabling individual prosperity. As everyone can see, the Democrats are handing Trump another term. And..we're not happy about that. Harris? Booker? Warren? Forget the old white guys. It's bad.

It’s impossible in their minds for those good comrades to have their clearly perfect policy positions criticized. Everyone knows the the totalitarian eco-comminist government and ethno-socialist economy they are after will bring the diversity and equity utopia!!!

So clearly, the only reasons anyone doesn’t like them is because they are female and or a person of color.

No no no, this is all due to his highness the great god king Obama.

Just look at how many politicians have never earned an honest dollar in the private sector. Bernie has never had a job. Obama didn't. Biden didn't. Virtually all of them. And being a lawyer doesn't count. I'm talking about producing something of value.

Yep, they don't produce wealth, they consume it.;)
