I had discussed hand fasting it's a beautiful thought. I really do like it, but wasn't certain if it was appropriation. My ex wife was wican when we were married (she's now Christian...)and it feels a bit off. I was thinking of making something up myself.

I don't really know anybody in this neck of the Lit, and I have no idea who is committing to whom. But that's awesome, two thumbs up!

I have never heard of handfasting before, and when I saw the post quoted above, my first thought was that handfasting is a neologism meaning abstaining from masturbation. Which would probably also be an apt way to show commitment on Lit.

Dear Litster who I know doesn’t like this thread,

I find it cathartic.

I’m going through a lot at the moment, you know the health scares I’ve had, and the things I’m trying to achieve, it all got on top of me. I’m taking a time out to re-centre myself, but I will bounce back.

My thoughts are always with you, today especially when I know you have something going on. Even during a time out, I am always here for you if you need me. I really hope we speak again soon.
