Incels & alt-right already losing their minds over Captain Marvel

Oh look, no white privileges named.....imagine that.

Your comic claims white people benefit from institutionalized racism and discrimination.

Then backs it up with absurd reasoning that doesn't point out any actual institutionalized racism.

If you can't point out that specific institutionalized racism, if you can't name the specific white privilege, you're just race baiting and dividing with baseless claims or being mislead by examples of individuals being bigots, not institutionalized racism.

That's why of all of the "progressive" folks here who KNOW white privilege is real not a fucking one of them has been able to name any white privileges specifically....all they can manage is shit talking past me. Not a single white privilege posted.

The best any of them have ever managed were examples from yesteryear.

Voting used to be a white privilege.

Having police used to be a white privilege.

Having Schools used to be a white privilege.

And on and on....but it's 2019 and you nor any of these other "progressive" racist can name a single white privilege or opportunity one race gets over the other in the USA.

They can't even come up with a single, solid, but ultimately meaningless anecdote. With all this institutionalized racism propping up white privilege, surely they have personally witnessed a multiplicity of instances.

Perhaps the should hire some Nigerian extras to play out a scene they can relate to demonstrate the concept.

Not in that scene.

When can we expect a valid counter-punch? Rory holding back explaining white privilege till we get softened up by years of not having any examples of it?

Bob made at least a limp-dicked attempt to explain it by linking some white women womensplainin' the concept. To be fair, that is a reasonable source to cite, since the concept was invented out of whole cloth by white women who have been the primary beneficiary of maligning white males.

not in that scene? how botany of you ;)

and quit thinking about bob's dick, q.

Oh really?

How, on a judge's scorecard would that specific, short scene in that round have been scored?

who won the fight? i can see how you lost your family- not knowing how to lose the battle to win the war

They never have any problem naming the privileges white people used to have.

But just get mad and talk shit when asked to name one in 2019.

Hmmm....can't imagine why that is.

Perhaps the should hire some Nigerian extras to play out a scene they can relate to demonstrate the concept.

They will continue to do so no doubt.

They are so thirsty for racism and hate they are faking it and having temper tantrums on national TV because they wanted it to be a hate crime.

Then they get upset at "racist" for not buying into the hoaxes anyhow because it's the right thing to do!!!!

The SJW/intersectional/bioloogy denying left went off the deep end some time ago.

Isn't it about time you remaining deplorables finally got some balls to make a counter-wager when issuing this challenge?

Or is this forum too dear to you, since your families won't return your phone calls?

That's funny I just talked to my mom last Tuesday while helping her assemble a flat-pack. She said, "If everyone where else was jumping off a bridge, would you do it too?"

I'm hearing a lot of projection in your post. Is everything okay with the family?

A Black or Hispanic Superman - now that would be something different, and it would work.

But a female one - it would look just as stupid as a Chinese Superman.

That goalpost heavy? Why are you dragging it around? Rory already hauled it all the way down the field and back.

"That scene" =/= "the fight."

There's no points in boxing for avoiding getting hit nor is there any for playing to the crowd. At some point you have to actually counterpunch. Which neither you, nor Rory has managed so far.

There's that half-witted psychological deconstruction again.

It was an exhibition fight.

Which means there were no points to begin with, and playing to the crowd was, in fact, the only objective.

While you let that analogy sink in re: the Literotica GB, I'm grabbing a beer.
:D

didn't he once say that he just talked to his daughter- "6 weeks ago"? maybe he has a problem with the space-time continuum. :D

If he spent half as much time repairing his relationships with his children as he does pretending to be smart on the internet, maybe he wouldn't be alone on the holidays. Poor Lil Queef, always compensating for something. ;)

Sure.

Just like all exhibition games in any sport... nobody notices how many runs you actually score or how many touchdowns.. am I right?

It's adorable that you see yourself as Muhammad Ali in the arena of rhetorical argument. The only thing you got in common with him is that you rent both run your mouth . The difference is that he could actually back it up.

Muhammad Ali never once announced at the end of the fight how many punches the other guy threw.

I grew up reading comic books in the 1940's and 1950's, including Captain Marvel. His archenemy was Dr. Sivana and his sister was Mary Marvel. Those two wore red suits and their friend, Captain Marvel jr. wore a blue one. When the time came to change into the super beings, the first two said "Shazam!" and their friend said "Captain Marvel Junior," which I always thought was too much to have to say. Junior's alter ego was named Freddie; he walked on crutches, lived in a boarding house where he loved blueberry pie and supported himself by operating a news stand. I also thought it odd that Junior's alter ego was apparently older than the captain's alter ego was.

If you've been reading comics since the 40s then you KNOW Billy wasn't the original Captain Marvel, Mar was.

You'd also have known he was a little kid and it was the entire fucking point of his character.

So I just kind of... don't believe you. It reads like you googled a wiki. If you want to hear someone who actually reads comics talk about comics, reread what /I/ wrote about Shaazam and compare the difference. Yours is a fact sheet and mine is a fan rant. And call characters what they're called.

Only since 1982. The Captain Marvel, the original, was a man.

This is widely debated. Fans aren't really sure if the Kree had the same gender structure as humans. People called Mar a man, and he didn't correct them, but he was trying to pass as human. And he could only do that because he was a pink Kree.

Kree pronouns are based more around their race than their gender, because it has such a bigger impact on their society. It's more important that people know he's pink than it is that they know he has a dick.

It's weird to me how many fake geek guys come out of the woodwork when a superhero movie comes out staring a chick or a pansexual.

Y'all shoulda heard the dudebros bitching about Deadpool pretending they had read comics.

Here's an anecdote from Captain Marvel.

Mar Vel was able to pass as human whereas the blue Kree could not, and thus was accepted by humanity while the ruling class from his planet were not. He was thrust into a leadership position he wasn't prepared for, because humanity listened to him, instead of imprisoning him like they did the blue Kree, and he was able to warn humanity of the impending skrull invasion, but not before the skrull had already began to infiltrate humanity using their shape-shifting ability. Because they could also pass as human, they were almost impossible to find.

Had they listened to the Kree leaders, the invasion could have been avoided before it began.

Kara's taken over Clark's position as superman SEVERAL times.

Edit: And not for nothing but Kryptonians have similar racial variations as humans. In many alternative earths (remember 52?) Superman IS different races.

Clark looked like a white human by pure chance. It didn't happen every time.

Y'all read a book for the love of god. He's female in many other earth's as well.

It's nice to see Que saying that we should emulate the black Muslim.

Muhammad Ali DID say that folks ought not ignore institutionalized racism. So like... you wanna emulate that good ol' Kentucky boy, start there.

When asked if he thought all white folks were racist, Ali said, "There are many white people who mean right and in their hearts wanna do right. If 10,000 snakes were coming down that aisle now, and I had a door that I could shut, and in that 10,000, 1,000 meant right, 1,000 rattlesnakes didn’t want to bite me, I knew they were good... Should I let all these rattlesnakes come down, hoping that that thousand get together and form a shield? Or should I just close the door and stay safe?"

You don't get to deny white privilege and then try to use Ali to prop up your bullshit. He sure as shit wouldn't stand for it.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone of the thread title:

Incels & alt-right already losing their minds over Captain Marvel

I wasn't kidding.

Only since 1982? You’ve been holding a grudge for almost four decades? Or did you do some research after you posted to try to sound like you have a clue about the character?

You might think about formulating opinion after you know something about the subject matter, instead of predetermining what your grievances are.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. That quote could’ve been coined specifically for you.

How can you call yourself a citizen and then whine about racial equality being a problem?

Pro-tip: pointing out that racism exists is not racist.

It's nice to see Que saying that we should emulate the black Muslim.

I dunno what Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel did to make these pressed schnook motherfuckers get froggier than a Florida creek in a summer monsoon, but

Here is a lot more about Mar Vel, or Captain Marvel. He came around decades after the original Big Red Cheese did. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Marvel_(Mar-Vell)

Billy Batson worked in the news department of radio station WHIZ. The station was operated by Sterling Morris.

Here is more about Billy Batson. https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/William_Batson_(Earth-S)

Originally, he was a street urchin, but later he started working as a news correspondent. ETA: I knew he was a teenager, but I didn't know his exact age.
