The US-Mexico border is 1,998 fucking miles long.

The best and cheapest way to reduce illegal entries is to make legal entries easier. Work to eliminate the backlogs in the immigration courts and the ports of entry. (Lots of jobs for Americans there, and better than being bricklayers.) Create an easy path to legitimacy and employment, so that aliens can become productive, earn their keep and spend their money. Take their names and give them ID's, so that if they show up at the welfare office or the polling booth, they get turned away.

The American corporations that don't want to hire non-citizens can just go ahead and not hire any. As for the American bricklayers, I think there are a few infrastructure projects that need some attention real soon.

That seems to me to imply that there would be any type of debate.... Reagan by a HUGE margin, out of just the two.

As for the idea by sg that he "move on and find something else to whine about," I don't care that he do the latter, but move on to another country, & leave his successor instructions to ban him from the States the second he is out.
