Was searching Sirius/XM today shortly before noon when I hit upon this Wilkow Majority segment of white liberals telling an interviewer why "Americans of Color" (hey, I like that better than "people of color") would be incapable of obtaining legitimate identification.
Among the excuses was an inability to comprehend how the Internet works and the fact that 75 percent of all the black men in Florida are in prison. I didn't know that.
How about it, Lit libs. Why do you think Americans of Color have such a hard time registering to vote?

Given the size of the incarcerated population in this state, with its remarkably severe criminal laws, it is not implausible.

I think it needs to be considered that it is entirely possible that Democrats really do believe that these tasks are beyond the capability of people of color.
Recent study of actual politicians as well as subjects of various political persuasion show that Republicans consistently do not dumb down their vocabulary when speaking to people of color, and Democrats consistently do. Their dumbing down of language when they are speaking to people of color tells you what they think of the intellectual capacity of people of color.
Democrats have never abandoned their racist roots they simply have become patronizing. George Bush had it right when he referred to it as the soft bigotry of low expectations.
Given both their history and present performance in what their policies have done for the black community and the fact that the black community still vote for them 85% and Hispanics 65%...perhaps the Democrats have a point.
A follow-up study is planned to see how blacks feel about being talked to in this way. Seems to me that it must be effective because Democrats consistently talk down to blacks and consistently are rewarded by black votes.

Interesting that you chose the city level.
Bump it up to the State level. The least educated States are invariably the deepest red states. Which, by the way, also have the highest levels of poverty, the poorest health, the highest percentage of residents on welfare, and are the biggest per capita recipients of Federal money.

That is repeated an awful lot but that doesn't include all of the money that goes to the big blue States through Federal appropriation that is corporate welfare. You're absolutely full of it if you think the big blue states allowing all the little bitty red states to soak up all of that four trillion dollars worth of handouts per year. Divvied up by state as to who actually gets the federal money and you'll find that the bulk of it is going to Big Blue California.
Included all of the supposed Federal money going to Red States when it goes to actual individuals a significant portion of that is federal payroll for people in the military and those supporting the military at various bases in red States.
Per capita is actually meaningless. Let's talk about how much money gets divvied up per actual senator. It doesn't take very much money at all into a not very populated state to get a senator on board for whatever project you want for California.
