Well you've got me beat on the guitar thing. I thought I could easily switch from violin to guitar. Apparently not. Those two extra strings really trip me up.

I took violin for a semester - aaaaagh! No frets! Great for portamentos, but...jeeez!

I did excel at it but there's that old saying about how you shouldn't be good at something you don't really like. Not that there's anything wrong with the violin but it's not really my kind of music.
