Dems call to cut U.S. support for Saudi Arabia

Also, Khashoggi was one of our own, he was a journalist working for an American media outlet. We need to send a strong message that it is never safe to touch such.

He didn't work for FOX...therefore it really isn't news or newsworthy.

sorta cute

LIBZ are AGHAST at the death a FOREIGN CITIZEN in a FOREIGN COUNTRY

but could care less at the MURDER of OUR PEOPLE IN LIBYA!

You spelled "Americans murdering Americans in the name of Jesus and Trump" wrong.

Isn't the reason obvious to you?! It's moral.

According to who?

Was it immoral to sell various European countries weapons/supplies to support their efforts in killin Nazis???

and we should not be selling SA stuff to kill their neighbors.

Why not? Maybe their neighbors need killin'

They're democracies

That doesn't make state sanctioned murder anymore moral.

He was not an American citizen but he was an American journalist. That should be enough to make him sacrosanct and inviolable.

Uhhhh no...that's not how the real world works.

I know the current Admin does not appreciate the unique civic value and importance of our journalists, but I should hope you do, even of the worst of them.

Sure, but being a journalist doesn't even entitle citizens protection under US law on foreign soil much less foreign nationals protection from their own tyrannical states.

Open a history book.

Read several, never a single mention of nuking a city full of innocent people.

That's because (D)'s care more about foreign nationals than our own people....clearly.

Lol, you're an idiot.

You motherfuckers dont like being called deplorable, but just look at your answers in this thread alone regarding a man who was brutally assasinated...

Fucking sickening.

Most of the retards here have an extreme warped sense of how America works in regards to international diplomacy.

True.
But were they more guilty of being part of the war machine than the sailors who were torpedoed in their merchant ships in US coastal waters? The people bombed in Pearl Harbour?

The old women and babies eking their lives out in the provincial cities that received the benefit were not really part of the effort.

I'm not saying that the atom bomb wasn't necessary, the prompt surrender saved many lives on both sides without doubt. But don't make out that they were all active combatants.

The war was already going to end before the bombings occurred. To think otherwise is ignorant. Or you were taught "american" history.

But without the atomic bomb, it would have taken a ground invasion to end it. At the time all able-bodied Japanese of both sexes were drilling as a militia for a last-ditch defense of the Home Islands, and since there were not enough rifles, they were drilling with bamboo spears. If the Allies had invaded, every town's gutters would have flooded with Japanese blood.

Even with the bomb, it took the personal intervention of the Emperor to get the armed forces to stand down. They were very stubborn.

Just as the Trump supporters defend him. It is easy to manipulate the isolated.

So you got nothing....noted.

Governments kill their own people, especially journalist, all the fucking time...why is this one so special?

It wasn't. Unless the Prog's need it to be so they can blame Trump for something else.

Unesco list of journalists killed in foreign lands

If you don't understand why the dismemberment of a journalist working for an American firm in a foreign consulate is not a jarring and important issue to America, there's really no point in discussing it further with you.

So you can't explain why this one is more special than all the others, noted.

What about the non-journalist foreign nationals that die working for US companies all over the world every day???

Are they less special than foreign nationals working as journalist for US corporations?

No. They were talking about surrendering in may of that year, the US intercepted their messages about it. The only thing stopping the surrender was that they wanted confirmation that the emperor would remain. Truman purposely left that out of the proposed surrender agreement so that he could drop the bombs. As far as a ground invasion, the Russians were already slaughtering them. They feared a Russian takeover more than anything and they knew Russia would wipe them out given the chance. They were going to surrender with or without an American ground invasion.

I know...and then you compare the journalist to all the other people who die at the hands of their own government who do work for US companies in other fields.

Never any outrage over any of that as long as they all get their latest i-whatevers.

So they weren't going to surrender...they were considering negotiating peace.

That was unacceptable.

Thus we had to nuke them.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes...

Cut off support to Saudi Arabia? We don't support Saudi Arabia; Saudi Arabia supports us. We are the bitch in that relationship, and have been for the 30 years I've been old enough to pay attention. (It's probably been longer.) Y'all in favor of this insanity don't want what you wish for. Sink our currency because a billionaire tried to topple a trillionaire famiy/regime and got done up? Get the fuck outta here, he knew the risks.

You don't know what a consulate is, noted.

Who is the billionaire trying to topple the trillionaire in this scenario?
