Another shooting rampage

By a white guy. White guy walks into a hot yoga studio in Florida and starts blasting away. Two dead, four injured, two of those seriously injured. At least he had the decency to kill himself so he couldn't vote on Tuesday or, we hope, reproduce.

With this being the third shooting rampage in the past week perpetrated (again) by a white guy, something came to mind. There will be those who will immediately jump to, "But what about Chicago or Detroit or Baltimore!!!???", because let's deflect from the fact white men are by far the worst perpetrators of mass shootings than any other group. But sure, let's go there.

There are two key differences between a white guy going on a shooting rampage and what is happening in those cities. First, those other shootings take place in specific areas of the city. Generally within a few blocks of the shooter's home. Compare that to white men who attack anywhere of their choosing.

Second, the shootings in cities are generally turf wars between gangs or gang wannabes, or to settle perceived slights such as looking at someone else's girl. In other words, they're shooting each other. Whereas white men almost always target a specific group such as Jews (Pittsburgh), blacks (Kentucky), or Sikhs mistaken for Muslims (Wisconsin). In other words, to a white man, anyone who isn't white can be a target, though some exceptions do occur (white church goes in Sutherland, Texas).

This is why white men are the most dangerous group in this country. Since the September 11 attacks, more people have been killed by terror acts committed by white supremacists than any other group. Note, this is about a group, not individuals.

So the next time someone tries to claim a single illegal who was released by a sheriff who claims to be tough on crime killing one person is so bad, remind them that in the past week, three different white men have individually killed more people than that one illegal.
