Republicans: How Has Trump Made Your Life Better?

 It dates from the Clinton Administration!

Take a breather, dude. 45 kicked Canada out, negotiated with Mexico, and then brought Canada back because he is an indecisive little bitch.

The hopped up economy has pushed the value of my house up about 15 percent since Trump took office.
I'm selling.

What is so hard about the Op's question? The question was about a specific policy 45 enacted that has brought you new riches.

Oh, and schism's thread is now a Bill and Ted thread, apparently.

I'm bumping because I genuinely would like to hear other people's stories. I want to know how the Trump administration helped you, personally. I know this is considered a weird stance to take on this site, but I genuinely enjoy people seeing positive results if it's something worth celebrating. I've not had anything positive arise in the past couple years- it's been rough. Bring out some more positivity, guys.

The Veteran's Choice program, which allowed vets to see local Doctors instead of travelling very long distances sometimes, was expired in 2017 and was due to shut down early in 2018. The Dems in Congress had no interest in seeing it was included in the budget. It was included after President Trump made it a priority for Veterans.

It allowed me to have vascular stent surgery locally this year and be home that night. If I had to have it done thru VA the travel and hospital time would have been at least 3 days. As long as he continues fighting for Senior and Veteran rights he'll have my support and vote.

Excellent!

Are you sure about all of that? The bill 45 signed was in June of 2018.

Trump Signs $55 Billion Bill to Replace VA Choice Program

Plus, this.

Isakson acknowledged that the bill isn't paid for but said he is working with Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Alabama, chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, to add funding for the bill that would likely balloon the deficit. The White House has argued for funding the bill by cutting other programs.

The original program expired in 2017.

Trump Signs $55 Billion Bill to Replace VA Choice Program

Plus, this.

This bill that President Trump signed was passed after Congress came back from Spring/Easter break. The program would have expired after the funds ran out. Yes I'm sure because I was scheduled for the pre-visits, surgery and post op sonigrams etc. and was concerned it would go broke before I could get in. A new name program went into effect and I may get to keep my legs for another few years.

Yes I'm sure. I keep up with VA and Senior issues. The rest of this shit I don't worry about. I'll be dead long before it starts affecting me.

If the Veterans hadn't done what we have done for this country, none of this other shit would be up for discussion.

Well, I don't know about that. This would still be a free country even if we had lost WWII.

"Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide."

-- Abraham Lincoln

you personally benefited from the tax cuts? i mean directly, not that your employer or customer has more to spend. you, just you.

What part of "the reduction in Cap Gains is a big deal" didn't you understand?

Cap gain under the new tax law went from 45% to 23%. That means I get to keep 22% MORE of my non-IRA investment earnings. So yeah, Trump's policies have affected me PERSONALLY right up front.

Then, there's the fact that my clients have more money in their pockets. You know what that translates to when it come to me PERSONALLY? They pay the bill when I send 'em an invoice.

What business are you in?

I'm a plaintiffs' personal injury lawyer, and payment is never a problem; when we win or settle a case, we get a check from an insurance company.

Republicans are probably enjoying all those new youtube videos of progressives crying their eyes out with despair at public protests.

It's simple enough for you to figure out if you wanted to. The American culture of freedom, individualism, and republican constitutional order, that elevates us above the Third World totalitarian chaos that exists in the rest of our Hemisphere.

Wow.

I... don't think you know what any of those things mean.

I'm just reposting this because we don't have a way to "like" or "heart" or anything posts here.

This is the shit I wanted to see on this thread. ACTUAL answers.

Hope you and your heart are doing great!

Good for you.

Tell me...

What happens when you don't win and the client can't pay the costs because they're unemployed?
