I have seen many girl on girl photos and talked to a lot of people, a phrase I hear a lot is, "Well, they're lipstick lesbians." What exactly is that? and how is that different than a lesbian?

My understanding is that a lipstick lesbian is very feminine in her appearance, actions and thinking. She uses makeup, loves lingerie, nylons and heels and displays her body in sexy clothes desiring to be the object of sexual lust. In terms of sexuality she desires sex, usually exclusively, with another woman and often is submissive to her lesbian partner.

It is true some butches very much desire a lipstick lesbian for a committed partner and for them to be sexually submissive.
