I wrote a letter to the local paper a few weeks ago in support of and appreciation of a small charity that focuses on providing reading material to disadvantaged families (essentially a free book store - they do this thing of sending out "starter libraries", a box of age appropriate books for families).

I am a fierce recycler. Way back when I was in grad school I knew a professor and his wife who recycled everything and they were really inspiring as human beings, so I learned from them and emulated them.
