Well, Trump has finally and overtly committed treason

Trump/Putin meeting is a victory for the world.

For Putin's homophobic, fascist version of it, perhaps. For the rest of us, not interested in his own Axis of Evil (apologies, Dubya), it's a nightmare and a defeat.

ok, but how on Earth do you believe Russia is wrecking our Constitutional order?

I'm pretty sure that you've had this explained to you already, but when Russia meddles in our elections, invades its neighbors, seizes part of their territory, suppresses dissent at home, and represses the rights of the LGBT community, among others, not to mention propping up the Assad regime in Syria and proliferating WMDs, it's a threat to the Western, Free World. You might try reading some....you know, journalists instead of watching Faux News some time?

oh man... you're gone. How is Russia "wrecking" our Constitutional order? Do you know who did 9/11 or the JFK, MLK and RFK murders?

I just explained this to you. Clearly, you're obtuse. Goodbye.

bye. it would be nice if you could very briefly just explain how Russia is wrecking our Constitutional order. Seems like the Constitutional order is pretty much the way it was before Trump/Putin had lunch?

But for the "meddles in elections" part,
The highlighted part is PC bullshit for the masses, I'm surprised that people still fall for that.
Yes Russia is a threat to it's neighbors, but that's not what drives the external Politics of governments who aren't at risk. Economics do.

So, Russia hasn't sold off lots of WMDs, interfered with the Ukraine, seized Crimea and parts of Georgia through puppets, suppressed the rights of LGBT Russians, coddled the Russian Orthodox Church, silenced Russian dissidents, and helped Assad stay in power? Next you'll try to convince me that Russia's a democracy.

The only bullshit is Russian propaganda denying their role in such things.

I think those in the U.S. midlands are easy pickings for the media manipulation programs of the Russians (and Republicans).

Because he's always had his own security. The Watchers watching the Watchers.

I think that richardpicture gave a good explanation how the Crimea issue was neither invasion, nor legitimate but was a soft coup, given the referendum and it's Russian majority population .

Otherwise you're right, Russia is a totalitarian state with imperialistic tendencies, a perpetual danger to it's neighbors too.

But from an economic or security pov, many people claim that cooperation with Russia would serve US's (or even the region's) s interests than this perpetual cold war.

Time for iggy.

It wasn't a performance, the guy is a blubbering idiot.

They do.

You've admitted as much yourself.

You don't like much of anything about the USA and want it effectively destroyed to be more like socialist European states just like most progressives.

You hate pretty much all civil rights and want them gone.

You want capitalism gone.

You want private property gone.

You want liberty and the pursuit of happiness eliminated in favor of equity and security.

You and those who follow your political ideology hate M'arica and want it gone.

Why would I want to defend Trump's patriotism?

Oh that's right you're dumb enough to think I'm a Trump supporter LOL.

Um, about as socialistic as Germany, Denmark, the UK, yeah, that's a really dangerous Communist plan there. I'm not exactly talking Cuba here.

I didn't say it was a dangerous communist plan or that you were going Cuba.

But "western, liberal, constitutional order" especially with regard to the USA tends to not be very compatible with democratic/Fabian socialism. Too many individual rights protected by the Constitution, too much freedom, too much capitalism...you know, western liberal shit.

I mean it could, but you don't have anywhere near the numbers to make the fundamental changes needed to really make it fly. You'd need to totally overhaul the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights in order to have a government structure to support democratic/Fabian socialism.
