Thanks LING. One can only hope.

As I mentioned in your own thread, going to spend part of it writing my brains out. Working now, in between posts and net-surfing.

Any of you People waiting for a reply to your PM's sorry I got disturbed to much this Morning :(
oops wrong thread

Thanks again LING. I'll need it. Still don't have my full, 100% focus back. But ANY writing done is a step forward. I posted my first new piece to LIT in a long while last week and hope to do more of that in future.

I know what you mean by being disturbed. I imagine I won't be able to finish this AAM if downstairs idiot starts up.

Up & About

So it is nearing 7 AM and I am still up. I will aim for 7 as a go-to-bed time.

Baked last night, first time in a while. A "friend" is leaving the cafe I frequent and I wanted to send her off with a nice treat. Made Blondies, if anyone knows what they are.

While my full health will likely never be good again, I am much better than I've been for a long time. I've put some weight back on and am eating better. I have more stamina. I'm slowly creating again. I hadn't cooked much over the past 18 months and am even doing that again.

I think the almost-monthly trips to Toronto have done much for my mood. Getting away from idiot (and there may be news on that soon as well) has not been a bad thing and I like the people of my hometown so much more than here.

I am almost done with a new tale, which I hope my readers will like. Some liked the last one (first for 2018 and in some time) and it served a purpose, but it wasn't quite at my former levels. At any rate, there is more to that one on the way, but this new one feels more like the "old" me. I am slowly regaining momentum and will be anxious to see what my readers think. My one legacy is that I can say I've entertained people with over 1600 stories, more as long as I can manage them.

Free Comic Book Day today, so out later for a bit. There is also a wedding in our family, to which I was not invited (nor was my brother, only my sister and mom were) so my mom's home is free if I need to escape here later.

Best to all for the weekend. Ours is finally nice.

Update

I hope that this isn't turning into a vanity thread, but I fear that it is. Not many of our regulars are here too often nowadays.

Pleased with myself. I finished the new one and submitted it. I am pleased with it and hope the readership enjoys.

Have a great weekend, all.

Just for you

Thanks to everyone for the new posts. Not a bad day here so far.

Glad to hear you're improving mate. :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Back to a semblance of normal for now.

Back Up to Snuff ...?

I haven't written this much in years.

Of course, the "Big C" kicks the crap out of you and you don't feel creative, sexy - or even hungry. That last one still comes and goes. Some days, even favorite foods hold little appeal.

But I didn't realize, until last week or so, just how much I missed writing. I had written, bits and pieces - but as I eased back a few weeks ago, ideas started returning. Some of you know that a virus wiped out ALL my files. Everything going back to Day One on LIT. I can copy the stories posted here, but the continuation, plots, new stories - all of that is gone. So I'm making up new stuff as I go along, even with serial pieces. Most of you know I do this for a publisher as well. What you may not know is I've written over 1600 pieces - and counting - for them. Why bring that up?

Because when you're written that much, you can't remember every little story and where it was meant to go. I relied on my notes - in point form - that gave me the direction to follow. Anything unfinished here will likely have an entirely different ending than the one I originally planned.

I also have another name (which I won't reveal) and got writing under that pseudonym as well. I hope to deliver a tidy package to my publisher in a week or two.

Meanwhile, be patient with me. I have a lot of irons in the fire, but will be going over a LOT of my LIT work and adding to it. I'm getting there.

If I don't get sick again (and there are no guarantees ...)

Not the best week so far, to be honest. Got violently sick a few nights ago.

Hoping to do some more writing today.

No one here again - sigh.

At the library. As an adult, I hate that it's so kid-friendly now. Do we really need kids playing VR games (like now, arrrgghhhh!) and being noisy brats? Go f*cking somewhere else for that sh*t.

If I haven't mentioned this before, I also hate long weekends. Gee - an extra day with nothing to do and no one around (excepting maybe idiot partying too much)

Yes, I'm cranky and I know it.

Rainy day here and making fun of son, broken foot can't do his job and is boredah.

Hey RJ.

I am trying to write, download some files and a few other things to occupy my time. Not much going on tomorrow, but today, things are open and I have a few bucks for after.

I've broken a foot, so I know his pain.

He's so bored, he's beta testing a "house flipping" game. Extra money though

I don't have the extra money. The brats are still here. WTF ever happened to "indoor" voices? Too many people use places like this as free babysitting. I hope Tuesday will be much quieter.

I am getting writing done, albeit slowly. Nice to be back at it.

Our library has and will remove any and all loud voices. It's been like that since I was a kid.

In retrospect, for writing, maybe I should have gone to the library in our sister-city. They are far less tolerant of the kid's BS. BUT they also watch you closer and I couldn't have downloaded some of my content. It is quieter now.

I am going to pay for all this writing and downloading though. My shoulders are aching a fair bit.

I am all out for a kid friendly library, I rather have them sit down and fill their mind with something useful rather than playing "roll of honour 4-bomb the bastards", however, children should also be told what a public library etiquette is when it comes to do it quietly.

The one local to me has a separate annexe for the 3 to 10 children, which has been well insulated, and there is also a "very quiet" first floor for research and study.
