[Trump] really is an incredibly skillful and talented communicator. He really is, which Hitler was, too. I think the reason people push back against the Hitler comparison, regardless of any similarities, is Hitler ended up killing millions and millions of people, and Mr. Trump has shown a disregard for our law, he breaks the law. ... But he hasn't killed millions of people. ... Look, that's why we want to impeach him! We'd like to end it here while it's still OK. I think that's why people push back so hard, because that is a very big difference. We haven't gotten to that point. God bless us, let's hope we never get anywhere near that point. — Tom Steyer

The Trump-Hitler comparisons are so much more valid when they are made by billionaire hedge fund managers.

That would be funny expect for the fact that most liberals, in their hearts, believe that to be true.

I thought for sure members of the LWCJ would trot out all kinds of quotes from the evil Koch brothers about Obama killing millions.

It never amazes me just how irrational democrats and liberals are, it's just beyond absurd...

The first thing that Hitler's National Socialist Party did when they were voted into power was taking the guns away from the citizens. Trump on the other hand, would not do that in a million years, which makes your progressive prediction a massive delusional pile of bullshit. That warped mindset will help Trump lockdown his second term since progressives don't believe in anything except for Trump killing millions of Americans, impeachment, everyone that voted for him being racist alt-righters, and Russia collusion.

Sad...just pathetically sad.

Somebody's meds aren't working like they're supposed to.

I'll bite on this. What was the law that Hitler passed to take guns away from citizens?

Yes well long as he's a liberal otherwise he'd just be another greedy nasty capitalist. His view point is valid to you because he hates President Trump. He actually doesn't know his history very well and I'm sure in the right light he's even more ruthless than Trump. It is amazing how liberals can overlook things in their heroes.

How does Trump qualify as ruthless? How does Steyer fall into that category?

Well going by liberal standards he made lot's and lots of money and people who do that are just plain evil. Now Steyer did that on the stock market which means he's really evil and didn't earn his money, but since he's a liberal gives his money to "good causes" he gets a pass.

I watched the first video and it provided no answer to the question. She said the government asked citizens to register gun, but made no mention of a law being passed or that it was Hitler who passed it.

Based on newly discovered, secret documents from German archives, diaries and newspapers of the time, Gun Control in the Third Reich presents the definitive, yet hidden history of how the Nazi regime made use of gun control to disarm and repress its enemies and consolidate power. The countless books on the Third Reich and the Holocaust fail even to mention the laws restricting firearms ownership, which rendered political opponents and Jews defenseless. A skeptic could surmise that a better-armed populace might have made no difference, but the National Socialist regime certainly did not think so—it ruthlessly suppressed firearm ownership by disfavored groups.
Gun Control in the Third Reich spans the two decades from the birth of the Weimar Republic in 1918 through Kristallnacht in 1938. The book then presents a panorama of pertinent events during World War II regarding the effects of the disarming policies. And even though in the occupied countries the Nazis decreed the death penalty for possession of a firearm, there developed instances of heroic armed resistance by Jews, particularly the Warsaw ghetto uprising.

I never said that Hitler's Nazi Party wrote a gun control law. Kitty plainly explains how it went down. It was capital punishment if they did not give up their guns...in layman's terms - they were killed if they didn't give them up.

Come on, guys. We've got a prediction here from a respected left-wing whack job of a scrote that our president is on the verge of becoming a mass murderer and you are getting sidetracked by German gun laws in the 1930s.
Let's stick to business. Is the Trumpster ready to round up large numbers of people and have them exterminated? That is the question.
Tom Steyer, who apparently smokes crack, believes this will happen shortly.
What do you think?

I see that. I simply agree to disagree respectfully. Trump isn't the Long Ranger when it comes to such things.

It's one thing to admire Hitler's genius and learn from it in some way - it's entirely different to single out a single POTUS or any other and compare them to Hitler's genocide missions.

Surely we've learned better from such examples as Hitler or any other before or after him.

We have more than our share of them here.
However, I would not use the label Liberal for them.

They are Progressives, the American children of the British Fabians.

They are the CTRL-L. Some of the Democrats are beginning to wake up and smell the coffee including Willie Brown. However, I don't think that they are going to be able to reach their base, a group of people who are inventing an alternative reality for themselves, as stated, one in which they are under the thumb of the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler/the 12th Imam. For them, they see the end of times just like one of those evangelical preachers that they hate so fervently.

I get that. I'm still trying to figure Progressives.

Hitler, was not so much a 'stable' genius as he was the logical product of a movement that began in Germany in the 1870s but blossomed in the 1880s. It too was very politically correct and everyone's fear of being targeted, isolated, ridiculed and ostracized from the movement eventually ground society/leadership into a paralysis, a fear of standing out and making independent decisions thus creating a leadership vacuum that Hitler merely occupied, like Iran in Syria. In that respect, and that respect only, is Trump like Hitler. He stepped into the vacuum of politically-correct paralysis.

Hitler fell for the slimy imperial Russian propaganda fake-piece PROTOCOLS, plagiarized from a French satire. The Russians wanted to defang revolutionaries by branding them tools of Jews. Could just as well have been tools of Rome or London or Mongols, but Jews were handy. Hitler was a sucker. His followers were and are fools. Ha.

The con artist has not made a lot of money. He's been in business for roughly 40 years and is worth, maybe, $2 billion. I say maybe because he's so paranoid about people seeing the reality of his life that he hides everything. We certainly can't take his word for how much he's worth, being an endemic liar and all.

But think about that for a moment. If he is worth $2 billion that means over those 40 years he's only brought in $50 million each year. His buildings, whether casinos or otherwise, cost more to build. This shouldn't be surprising since he literally opened a casino one year then declared it bankrupt the following year.

He even famously said he got out of the stock market because he didn't like it. This was back in 2013 or so. He claimed a big drop was coming. Think of how much money he gave up by not even bothering to put his money in an S&P 500 index fund. Again, not surprising as his one and only foray into the stock market via a publicly traded company was a complete failure. For the decade he ran the company he lost money every single year at a time when the economy was rolling along.

This is why most banks in the U.S. and elsewhere won't do business with him. He declares bankruptcy at the drop of a hat, overspends when buying properties, and has no processes to control spiraling costs. That is the reason he had to go to Russian banks for loans. And no, that is not a dig at his collusion. It's a fact.
