Welcome to my city, I can give you a seafood restaurant. Go to a restaurant called Upstate, it's by 1st Avenue 5th street, great food and drinks. Call first to make sure you can bring a minor with you, but I do remember someone bringing their baby with them, but it was early

I love New York City . Be sure to go to Joe’s Shanghai and order soup dumplings. You won’t be disappointed. I’d drive to NYC just to have them.

When you walk around the city, try to wear dark neutral colors. Also, don't look in other people's faces and smile. Wear your purse not hanging on your shoulder, but put your head and shoulder through the loop. Don't look up at the buildings; you look like a tourist. Don't drive through any tunnels with luggage in the back seat; you'll get stopped by police and asked "what are you doing?" Wear androgynous, bulky, oversized clothing; otherwise rape. Never walk alone. Always walk quickly like you know where you are going. If you drive there, or fly and rent a car, don't park on the street. Don't use parking garages, or you'll find out how expensive NYC can get and thereby why NYers are usually penny pinching. Better yet, use a taxi. Don't be embarrassed to ask the hotel or restaurants to call you a cab. At least the finer restaurants and hotels with a doorman. Greasy spoons and motels, don't expect much, although it never hurts to try. Try to carry traveler's checks (and keep the numbers in your suitcase).
