For stories taking place within church and/or Christian community, certain character types, such as the naughty pastors daughter or the dissatisfied/sexually starved married woman have been done to death. I just wonder if there are stories out there with different archetypes?

One I don’t see much is the divorced woman. Alluring in different ways from the eyes of a man in the congregation. Once married, so she’s experienced...has had a taste of carnal pleasure and now is left with no pure source.....possible emotional vulnerability from circumstances of divorce and/or ostracization within the church he...and the man can self-justify that at least there’s no guilt since there’s no significant other in the way....

the young couple who return from a missionary trip to deep, dark, Africa - only now she is a taste for some black meat

the elderly gossip (who was widowed at a young age and actually not too old, 50/60 or so), who hasn't had sex in decades sees young Johnny one day with a bulge in his pants and gets lost in trying to seduce him

the young couple, perfect life, perfect kids, always gracious and giving who are into swinging and frequent the local clubs

the middle aged pastor who all the young ladies (and older one's too) have an eye on. Of course, he is always very tactful in brushing off their flirtations, until the afternoon Mary Ellen is waiting in his office, topless (does he take her home to share with his wife?)

1) A woman (or man!) who's greatest fantasy is to seduce a priest.
2) A great looking, macho sailor (or soldier!) who loves attending church and claiming to be gay, so that women there will "convert" him.
3) Social leader of the younger women at a church starts a little program to bring more young men to her church, but winds up having more of a women's sex club, where they can have safety in numbers while entertaining one or two men each week from neighboring communities.
4) Preacher has a drug rehab business associated with his church, and just can't seem to keep from adding "sexual healing" to the mix for young ladies at his rehab center.

a few church types

1) The perfect wife - usually older with a great background/career which they left to have kids. Tend to be ball busters - high personal standards and quick to judge.

2) The teenage boy who is only there because of the parents. (So many of these in church.) Really this person is only interested in the girls at the church and how much longer the pastor is going to drone on before they can leave.

3) The man with a past. So many guys who were dirtbags and man whores when they were young turn to the church later in life when they realize that not settling down and not have a steady job isn't as cool when you hit 40. A subset of these spent time in jail, rehab or prison.

I don't tend to read church stories, they usually show a lack of research, so I can't think of any good examples. Something I'd say to authors though, if you worry about archetypes, why not just work with character? Who are they? Why are they there?

Most importantly, what is their relation with their faith - do they attend out of duty/community standing? Do they believe? Do they have a fetish that conflicts with their faith like a gay priest who took the vows because they couldn't face coming out - they have a sense of self-loathing because of how their faith makes them feel about their sexuality, and also feeling hypocritical... You have to know and understand the religion you're writing about, but it's crucial for a well written story set in a religious community

Archetypes aren't a problem, bland stereotypes are. The minister's daughter is a bland trope because there often isn't enough detail on why - peer pressure to fit in, or loneliness because her parents are too pre-occupied with the church or she's an atheist so is keeping her real identity buried out of duty to the family or someone so used to getting her own way she gets off on breaking rules to relieve her boredom. Give characters depth, let them drive the story and though the archetypes may make the story sound a bit rote, the execution will get people past that

My favorite church setting lines:

"Father William saved her from the streets
She drank the lifeblood from the saviour's feet
She's Sister Mary now, eyes as cold as ice
He takes her once a week
On the altar like a sacrifice"

Queensryche Lyrics - "Spreading The Disease"

Church is for the stupid.

I love these two ideas. The first - the couple discover they both want the cuckold lifestyle together. The wife gets seduced by a BBC right in front of her husband. And they both loved it. Now returning home they decide to continue.

With the young couple, the wife was wild and promiscuous in her younger years. Now she wants to settle down and live the American Dream. But she starts to get restless and desires a taste of her previous life. Then the husband drops the bomb. He's been fantasizing about other men fucking her. They decide it's not a sin if the husband approves. So now every weekend another man fucks her their marital bed. Then they repent in church.

I made one a while ago.

It's about a virgin college girl who struggles with inner-desires. She's completely conflicted with herself and she confides in a priest who used to be sort of a dom before changing his life and becoming a priest. It's a bdsm story.

What about the lascivious, lecherous, predatory priest/pastor/clergy who enjoys seducing, dominating and using for his pleasure the girls and women in his congregation

The Seduction

Perhaps, a scenario of an attractive woman in her early thirties married to an older man, who has had serious health problems for the past few years. Their sex life has virtually ended and she has burned with desire to experience the joys of sex once again.

Her strict Christian beliefs has made her hesitant to seek sex outside of marriage. As the months off celibacy pass, her will weakens and her attention is focused on a handsome college sophomore. He is athletic, but shy and still a virgin, although he has noticed her admiring glances in church recently.

During his spring break, she arranges to have him help her clean out her swimming pool. Wearing a very flattering swimsuit she plans to begin the process of seducing him.

The devout pastor's wife in Substitute Pussy feels she MUST give herself repeatedly to a slimy lothario... to keep him from preying on her underage daughter. It did pretty well for an LW tale.

I recall stories of Xian nudist and swinger groups, and of course there's the Church of the Naked Jesus (as well as the Church of Daniel Christ), and Doukobours farming and worshiping naked. Closer to home, we can have men's and women's scripture study groups turning into same-sex frolics, or maybe an aphrodisiac communion wine.

Possibilities:

* A Methodist congregation in Kansas welcomes visiting groups of Wesleyans from Thailand... all dickgirls. Hilarity ensues, or reverence.

* Acolytes (all genders) at a liberal Prod seminary are tssked to rewrite Genesis from the Snake's POV, or Eve's... and the ordained slip such scripture into their sermons.

* Don't forget the lecherous, seductive door-to-door bible salesman brought down by a savvy wife (any gender). Or pairs of queer Mormon or Witness missionaries.

* Invent or adapt some stranger sects for stories. Build new stereotypes.

Let’s not forget this archetype

That almost sounds like a mother - son incest erotic story.

I suppose we all have our own idea of a perfect fantasy. For me I prefer to keep it as close to reality as possible. I don't get turned on by naked Playboy centerfolds...I DO get turned on by pictures of naked or near naked real women with curves, stretch marks, tires of belly fat.

My most powerful fantasies involves women I know personally.

And I don't know any super models.

THIS. It’s this attention to detail that I find lacking in most stories and want to see in a new one. That’s the thing...I have many ideas for characters and the world of the story, but not the writing skills to bring them to life.

The writer by the name of @eres has written a few fics based off a few general premises I gave him and did a wonderful job of creating a complex characterization and world. This included a multi-chapter story called "The Pastor's Wife" which had this setting, and two one-offs which had characters of college Christians with a similar premise. I know he has them posted somewhere, I just forget where...not on Lit.

Having come out of a strict religious background myself, I have done several stories in this vein

Robin's Quest https://www.literotica.com/s/robins-quest is about a husband and wife who enter into slavery in order to prove their devotion and also to win their uncle's vast estate. He challenged them to put up or shut up,

https://www.literotica.com/s/the-meet-and-greet the meet and greet is about a young married devout couple who are blackmailed into being owned by another couple. They end up fully taking to the lifestyle I think they are fairly plausible, something I require of all my fiction,

What about a young new pastor trying to help a woman trying to redeem herself as she vividly describes her sexual history to him. He tries to control himself but find himself attracted to her. Either she could be a shrew trying to fuck him or he loses control and goes for her or he can’t control himself and goes out in secret to get other women. Either way, that’s a character type.

I've written religious themes into quite a few of my stories as follows:

PENNY & MICHAEL'S FORBIDDEN FUN - Penny is a good girl who attends a Catholic school, and falls for the school's bad boy Michael.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS ROMANCE - The four main characters - fraternal twins Adam and Andrea, and adopted sisters Holly (white albino) and Samantha (African-American) are all Jehovah's Witnesses as the title suggests.

MARISSA THE MOB BOSS'S DAUGHTER - Titular character Marissa attends Catholic school.

THE PTA QUEEN BEE & THE TEEN REBEL - Rebellious heavy metal fan Jenna has been sent to an all girls' Catholic boarding school.

MANDY MAKES A MAN OF MARK - Mark's mother is annoyingly pious and religious.

DEBBIE THE DUMB GOLD DIGGER - Lead character Amy's twin brother Seth has a controlling fundamentalist Christian girlfriend Kelly, who tries to indoctrinate others and refuses to believe in dinosaurs.

APRIL LEADS JULIE ASTRAY - Julie is the Reverend's daughter, and laments that she cannot do the things other teenagers do as she is strictly controlled by her parents and has a leg damaged by polio when she was a child, placing additional restrictions on her.

VIRGINITY LOST ON VACATION - Narrator Abbey is an overweight Jewish-Canadian girl.
